The technician could not restore kitchen and bathroom lights that were working before he tinkered with a couple outlets. After an hour of going back and forth doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results, he said the problem was the kitchen lights were overheated from overuse. I told him then he had to go. The kitchen lights by the way are not used more than 15 to 30 minutes daily. He was just making it up as he was going along and attempting to blame the problem on me for "misuse". When I objected to his invoice for an hour and half in which he accomplished nothing and scared me that he made matters worse, his boss said that I did not have to pay anything. The technician then left taking the invoice with him and without telling me that he had also disabled two other outlets. Instinctively, I turned off the electrical power to the kitchen. Over the next several days, I repeatedly asked the office manager for a copy of the invoice. She was evasive with one excuse after another. A week later, another service resolved the problem the Mountain States Electrical technician caused. All that was needed was tightening of electrical wires that the Mountain technician had managed to further loosen causing an occasional short to become continuous. I was much relieved that he hadn't caused damage but that does not mitigate Mountain's ethical lapse withholding documentation. That alone is reason to stay far away from this service.

Called several places in the week of Jan. 1 and the few that returned the call quoted outrages prices for a small electrical job. After reading Mountain States Electric reviews I gave them a call. They were friendly and willing to help. Mountain States Electrical send an electrician to my home the next day. He was courteous, honest and knew his profession. The job was completed under an hour. Their fees are very reasonable compared to other places. I would highly recommend Mountain States Electric to any family, friends and acquaintances. I will use them again in the future for other jobs. Job well done.
