I liked Mountain Remodel. The job went really well. They were professional and on time. I would use them again if needed.

I nominated them for a special recommendation. They came out within a week after I called them, and the work turned out great. They use a system to repair cracks in the basement and foundations. We had a crack in our foundation and it was leaking. They used this system to insert expansion foam and repair it. It is a much superior system and more effective than painting a coat on the outside which is what is normally done. It penetrates all the way through the crack. He was prompt and very straightforward. He arrived on time and explained everything. He also did the job as promised at the price promised.

They put a third floor on my house and about a third of the second floor. In order to do that he had to do a lot of structural work on the first floor. They did an unbelievable job. The subcontractors that he used did a unbelievable job as well. He gave us choices of a lot of things by bringing in the actual articles and asking us our opinion instead of showing us a catalog.

I called Hackler in mid-July. He came the next day and looked at the situation. We discussed various options, from full poured foundation to just replacing the blocks. The poured concrete was too expensive, because I'm not planning to keep the house for many years. He described a system using wood beams resting on concrete pads, and we settled on that. He said he would be able to get to the job on Aug 20, and it would probably take two days. He called to say he'd be one day later, and he then showed up on Aug 21 at 9:30 AM. Began work, all by himself with hand tools. Mother Nature tried to interrupt him with a ferocious torrential rain and two inches of hail at 11 AM, but he kept going. He said, "It's just water, after all." Finished at 2:30 PM, and because the job was shorter than originally estimated, billed me $1140 instead of $1350. The result is perfect. Solid foundation all around the wing, dirt backfilled to grade. Basically indistinguishable from a poured foundation. Best of all, he took up the slack in the structure. The wing is now as square as it can be, considering its original loose construction, and the suspicious noises are gone.
