Dr Leese and her very busy staff have communicated compassionately and clearly answering my many questions both in the office and on the phone. Dr Leese listens to my concerns, suggestions and hypothesies with patience and actual consideration!! Her staff has been so good with my unfriendly dog, never making me (or him) feel like he is unloveable. Dr Leese has seen my 19 year old cat through a stubborn, chronic, sinus infection that had lasted several years when being treated by another veterinarian. With her openess to adjundt treatments my Cat is now sinus infection free! I recommend Dr Leese to everyone with pets. She is often booked out for several weeks, but accepts drop offs for pets that can't wait. How awesome is that?? She examines the dropped off animals in between her scheduled appointments and I'll bet she skips her lunches too. Oh yeah, many immunizations are free with the first exam!

I was unhappy with them. They misdiagnosed the problem with my dog, and it led to a premature death. It's even worse than that. I brought my dog in for an exam because she had been putting on a lot of weight. They took the dog back, I asked to accompany the dog so I could talk to the vet. They said no, no, just ask us any questions you want to ask the vet. They never let me talk to the vet. I was only talking to receptionists. They returned my dog and just said yeah, your dog's fat. It should lose weight. I said look, there's other concerns I've got, and they just said yeah, she's fat. And then I got home and I thought, I wonder how much she's put on since they last gave an exam, and I called them and I said, what does she weigh now versus six months ago when I had her in, and they said well, we didn't weigh her. That is the worst service in the world. Anyway, it was discovered that my dog had serious problems, including a heart condition, that ultimately led to her death about eight months later, and it very likely had been preventable. I had been going to them for years, and so I would say they get an F. I think they caused me the premature loss of my pet. Their bedside manner was atrocious, not allowing me to talk directly to a vet. They were dismissive of me, and I had been a long-time customer. On pricing, I think they're competitive.

It was great. The doctor is phenomenal. Her animals are her life and she is very caring and she just could work with them. I have 2 cats, they are not as needy as dogs. I don't want somebody following me around.

They did a wonderful job. They came to my home to clip his nails. Buddy just loved it.

We had a problem with our dog and he needed alot of work done so I was able to work with them to get His procedure done.

The vet tech was very kind and understanding. Obviously distraught, we were immediately ushered into a private room, where the process was gently and carefully explained. Though it was a very difficult decision, the tech encouraged us and commented on how it was a really kind thing to do, and much better for the cat. She assured us our precious pet would be treated carefully, and not be left alone until she was gone. When we came back to pick up the body for burial, our kitty looked very peaceful and the tech explained that the process had gone very smoothly, that it almost seemed like the cat was ready to go.
Not only were we treated very well during the process, but a week or so afterwards, the clinic sent a condolence card, signed by everyone in the practice. It was a very touching gesture. We've heard from others they have received cards as well.
In a situation as painful and horrible as euthanizing your family pet, Mountain Empire Vet Clinic handled the situation amazingly well, with incredible professionalism and kindness.

Techs checked with Dr, Julia and meds were ready for pickup within a few hours. Staff are very knowledgeable and accommodating. Some vets would charge for another office visit to ok a refill of meds, but Dr. Julia only requires an office visit when necessary. Also love that they have a compassionate fund that allows treatment for pets whose owners need help in paying for services. When I first moved to Spokane 10 years ago, I took my pets to several vets in the area and was so unhappy with their treatments. Heard of Dr. Julia from another pet owner at the Emergency Vet Clinic in Spokane and have been using her ever since. Best vet in Spokane Valley!

I am so impressed with this Vet. We moved recently to the area and Vet decisions are very emotional and it takes that special office that has care and compassion for animals but also who is reasonably priced that you look for. I found her off Angie's List and we are so happy to have found her. My Lab was limping and found out she has arthritis, our Siberian Husky had a stomach infection and my cat had a urinary infection all within a month. A lot of places in past experiences charged an arm and a leg and at times you are not always sure if diagnosis is correct. Julia is thorough, to the point, her staff calls you and tells you diagnosis and how much will cost before they proceed. Her staff is always courteous and on time. One thing I loved to hear is how well Julia treats her staff and how happy they are. We want to support our local businesses who not only do a great job with our family members but also treats her staff like family members too. I am a fan and I encourage anyone looking for a new vet to visit. She also has a great grooming place next door and everyone there loves animals and is so kind and courteous.

Mountain Empire provided fantastic Vet service. It was more than fairly priced. It was punctual, it was fantastic. I have used a lot of vets for horses, dogs and cats and she is the only vet I want to use. I called the vet on her only day off, a Sunday, to put my horse down. She drove all the way out here, 35 miles or so, was very professional and very caring and carried out the euthanasia. I would grade her AAA.

.there isn't enough room on this computer to tell the whole story but i will say that out of the hundred or so visits to the clinic there was never a time that i felt disappointed, confused, or cheated. julia provides professional, loving treatment without charging you an outragous fee. the policy is to pay for services when rendered but there have been times that my pet was sick and i was unable to pay and was allowed to make arrangements for payment. another thing is she has a drop off service if no appointments are available. you drop your pet off in the morning and she checks them out inbetween appointments. what more can you ask for! mountain empire vet service is the best of the best and julia leese is the reason why. for all your pet health needs this is the place to call.

They are very dedicated and caring. They do a lot of low cost pro bono work because they are really dedicated to the care of the animals. They fixed my rescue cat's broken leg.
