They are excellent and their prices are pretty fair, compared with what I was quoted by other places. They are dependable, professional and they warranty for a year what they put in.

Very professional and honest.  Found an oil leak which was annoying. Always had a piece of cardboard on the garage floor.. Called and asked permission to perform a dye test on the engine which found nothing. It was  the oil plug for $3.00. Also did a oil change with synthetic oil and flushed the radiator and checked all the fluids...We are glad we found a good mechanic at reasonable rates only 1.5 miles from my home...Would highly recommend Lloyd's Automotive.

They got me in right away.  Shop is clean.  They were on time with their job, on the amount quoted if not a bit below.  Communication to me was good, though I wasn't sure that communication from me to service manager was taken so well.  I was explicit about the problem, and the work order differed somewhat in communicating the problem to the tech.  But the work quality went well, and they were willing to spend good time talking about options and helping me work through those options.

Very well.  They were very helpful with transportation needs(ride home, help arranging rental car)
I have had repairs done by them before and now I use only them for my vehicle repairs and service.

Took our Toyota in to get it to pass emissions. The engine light was on. They told me it would be $239 plus tax said needed to replace mass air flow sensor to pass emissions.   I asked why the estimate for the cost of the air flow sensor was 3X's higher than the parts store and if it really needed to be replaced to pass.  He said it had to be a Toyota part, they costs more and that it had to be replaced for it to pass.   I refused to pay that much and had to pay $97 for them to clean air flow sensor.   Paid what I owed and told them to give me my keys and left.  When I picked it up the car the engine light was off !  So I took it to emissions and it passed.   It is now June 2012 car runs great and engine light has not come back on.

At the completion of the inspection, I was told that it looked like I was overdue for an oil change. (Indeed, I was overdue about 500 miles) I was also shown my coolant and was told that they were concerned that I had debris floating in it and I was asked if I had added anything to the coolant. (I had not)  After further assessment, I was told that my head gasket was leaking and that possibly coolant was both leaking out and that debris was also being sucked  in.  When I had seen the Subaru dealer 11 months previously, they had pointed out the leaking head gasket, but were not concerned at that ime as they did not see coolant, but suggested that I keep an eye on it.  Based on the dealer's previous observations, I believed Lloyd's was accurate in their assessment of my head gasket.  They took me into the garage to show me the problem and also identified that the transmission gasket was leaking.  They also told me that my tires were close to balding and that this problem should be addressed soon.  As I had never really liked the tires and was anticipating getting new tires with a more aggressive tread before this winter, I decided to go ahead and purchase new all weather tires.  Various tires, their pros and cons, and various price points were discussed with me and I selected a moderately priced set of 4 tires with an aggressive tread pattern.  As the front of the engine was removed to repair the head gasket, they also suggested I replace the timing belt. They explained that this was a little bit early, but would save me about $600 in labor costs later, (Labor costs are due to removing the engine front.)  They offered to rent me a car for 3 days, I agreed to the work, and it was completed on time. The day after I picked up the car, I felt a "thump" when the engine first turned over, so took the car back to be looked at.  It turned out to be a minor problem and easily fixed in 10 minutes.  I was very satisfied with their professionalism and thorough explanation of my inspection results. The car felt a little bit "doggy" and I thought it was just getting old at 80,000 miles, but it is running like brand new now!

I went to Lloyd's to have my oil changed and tires rotated. Upon arriving to pick my car up I was told they did not rotate my tires becasue they were too old and had dry rot. My tires have only 20,000 miles on them are Michelin tires. There is nothing wrong with my tires. I went to Lloy's specifically to have my tires rotated while my oil was changed. I was very upset at this and was told it was a "state law". I inspected my tires again and found no dry rot. I have all records of my tires and I rotate them every time I have the oil changed. I find there explanation to be unprofessional. They did not apologize or offer to rotate them. I will never go back.
