They scheduled me for the next day.  I brought my car in on time as requested.  At first we were greeted by name by a nice man, and then passed to another representative.  It was at 9:45am.  We were told that we could pick the car up at noon.  We went for a walk, had breakfast, and did some shopping, and arrived back promptly at noon.  We had seen the car in the car wash when we walked by.  The rep told us that he would have the car brought around, but that he had to talk to me.  At 12:17pm, it was explained to me that they dismantled the car, found the part (in the airbag, no less) broken and needed to be replaced.  They reassembled the car (still a danger) and told me that the part would be in in the next day or two, and they would call me to schedule again.  I explained that this was a bit of a hardship for me, as I have a baby and my husband is recovering from surgery.  Then the man became a bit rude and snippy with me, and asked if I would have rather have him install the broken part.
I felt like neither my time nor the techs time was respected, as they didn't even have the part available to replace for recall work.  Proper planning prevents poor performance.  Coming downtown twice in one week to get a car worked on for hours is not great customer service.  You can at least offer to pick up the car, or offer a loaner for the time and not make someone come back again.  I am glad that I have another mechanic for all of my other auto needs.

The Service went fine, however they upsold a injecotr cleaning service , brake fluid flush.  and did not explain in detail as to what the cost was.  very much surprise to find out we had a 475.00 bill when picking up the car.  after getting the car back i inspected and it did not look like they removed master cylinder cap as well the intake system was not removed as there was still dust sitting on the piping.  contacted the service manager and he insisted they did the work as it was one of their best tech's.  i sent pictures showing what i saw  still same response.  at this point i figured it would be just a waste of time and will never use Larry H Miller again.  And definitely will not refer anybody to them.

They are fine. I think they do good service. They are just a little bit expensive. I think I could probably get it done somewhere else. My car works well after they did the job. It seems that they do good work.

We love Larry H. Miller downtown Toyota.  They are always courteous and honest with their service work.  The shuttle service is a great bonus as well.  We wouldn't take our Toyota to be serviced anywhere else.

This is actually for the Hyundai location but I have no reason to believe that any of their locations would be any different since they're all owned by the same people.
So 2 months ago we bought a used card from Larry h Miller Hyundai down on Sprague.    We were going through a bankruptcy and were trying to get our credit back to some semblance of normal.  We were told by our lawyer that Larry H. Miller would be able to help.  So we went to the one closest to us.   After the fact we found that they meant to go to the downtown lot but by then it was too late.  We expected to not get the best deal because of the bankruptcy but these guys seemed to go out of their way to screw us on every possible thing they could.  We weren't able to get them to go down any on the car, they wouldn't negotiate any on our trade in.  This is the 5th car I've bought (including one when my credit was terrible) and never have I felt that I've been taken advantage of as much as with these people.
The final straw for me was today.  When we bough the car we pointed out that the tread on the tires was low and they said that it was fine and they refused to do anything about it, they insisted that it had pass all the safety checks.  Now, not even 2 months later, we take the car in for an oil change and they tell me that the tires are unsafe to drive on and need to be replaced.  Due to some financial problems we were having they took advantage of us in every way they possibly could.  Avoid this place and this chain like the plague.

I have been using larry miller toyota service for about two years now. The only work I have had done is oil changes and tire rotations. I kept returning because they had a service plan that was priced well and included oil changes and tire rotations. The service advisors did not try to push extra, un-needed, services. The techs did not leave evidence of spilled oil when doing the oil changes, like I have seen at other dealer service departments. They have a good shuttle service. So what is there not to like?
Well, I took my car in for an oil/filter change, tire rotation and this time, a four wheel alignment. Plus I had a weird  intermittent quirk with my transmission checked out that could not be duplicated, but that is another story and not a fault of the service department and more a fault of Toyota design I suspect. Anyway, I picked up the car and drove it home. On the way home the steering felt a little loose but I thought it was the ruts in the freeway causing the car to move around. The next day I noticed a clunking sound in the front end when going over a small bump while turning. I took the car home suspecting something was loose. Sure enough when I jacked up the front end and grabbed the front wheels there was play in the wheel assembly when I grabbed the wheel by the sides and tried to turn it or move it in the steerable directions. Eventually I found that the service tech had not tightened a lock nut that keeps the toe adjustment set on the tie rod ends. The nut was backed off more than one full turn, and on both wheels. this had the affect of adding looseness to the steering and caused the car to wander slightly. I called the service department, and luckily they were open on a saturday, and they had me bring the car right down. They apologized and fixed it by realigning the wheels and ensuring all fasteners involved in the alignment were tightened securely. Or so they say, as I have not verified this yet.
I may seem harsh here in my criticism and could chalk it up to them just having a bad day. But I have a personal philosophy that if a car repair shop leaves something loose that affects the reliability, safety and life of a major component of a car then they probably are not very trust worthy. I think it speaks volumes about the techs sense of quality work and the quality control, or lack of, practiced in the shop.
I know I said I will not go back. And that is probably the case in future. But I may entertain the idea of using them in the future should I need a toyota trained tech to look into a problem, like the intermittent transmission issue. I may just pay for a dianostic and go somewhere else for the repair. I'll make that call when the time comes.

We're not going to go back. One time I waited 2 1/2 hours for an oil change when I believe I was the only car in the shop. The price always seems quite high for the services and we will just have it done in one of these little lube places.

They went over all the details with what is covered in the warranty. They were very good at explaining it. I was in a CostCo program and they applied it to my car. They delivered the car as promise. They provide consistently good service, so I take my car there. They provide a shuttle that takes me to work and back. They had a recall at one point so they took my car in and fixed it.

A thief tried to steal my automobile and damaged the ignition to the point where I could not start it. Larry Miller Downtown Toyota was one of the few repair shops open on Saturday. I had my vehicle towed there and they fixed it in one hour without an appointment. Dealership costs are on the high end, but I have to say they are clean and professional .... and they get the repair done, and done right. Without an appointment, I couldn't expect more.
