KTU & TRI United Heating

I have a facility with developmentally disabled kids and the front of the thermostat was hit making the heating system inoperable. I called KTU because they were very close in proximity. They indicated that it was after hours (4:30 ish) and would have to charge overtime. They initially went to the wrong address which was just right down the street and probably intercommunicated myself but arrived shortly after that to diagnose the problem. I had one of my staff purchase a thermostat several days prior to the KTU visit. KTU came out and said that they could not install the thermostat because it was the wrong type. No work was performed and they gouged me for $232 spending 15 minutes at my facility and 10 minutes at the wrong address. My invoice stated 1.5 hours of work. I requested that they shave .5 hours from the statement which would have been honest,. I really felt taken advantage of.

I needed my furnace fixed or replaced during our first huge snow storm in December 2015. I got a couple of different bids from Carrier dealers in Spokane,WA. My heating and A/C system was 24 years old and it probably needed to be replaced. I couldn't see putting money into an old system that needed more repairs. I did some research and felt Carrier was my best fit for high quality and a leader in the HAVC industry. I had Chris come out from KTU and he was on time, professional and knowledgable in his trade. He followed up as promised with a written bid. After comparing the final cost and details for the install i picked KTU over the other bids. He set an install date to meet my needs. The install team was outstanding! It was a good experience where they were on time, very respectful, neat and answered all my questions. They did a professional job on the install. I was very pleased with the entire experience. Cindy at their office made sure to register my new equipment to get the 10 year warranty plus sent me all the necessary Avista forms for my rebates! No more guess work for me. KTU will be my only choice for future maintenance and service needs. My home is now warm and comfortable. They'll come back in the Spring free of charge to make sure my new A/C system is running smoothly and all checks out. I would recommend KTU for your heating and A/C needs. The new house I just bought came with the furnace/air conditioning coil and wiring already installed. I called KTU for a free estimate of what it would cost to install the central air conditioning condenser and pad outside the house. Chris came out and did a thorough job of examining the duct work, looked at the entire system, explained just what they would do and gave us a fair bid for the work. I got three other bids after his; their price was not the lowest, but I went with KTU because they sell Trane condensers (which is the type of equipment I already have installed) and because their price is reasonable and because of their professionalism. After I signed the contract to have the work done, they came out when they said they would and did a professional job of installing the condenser, placing it on the pad, and completing all of the connections and pipe work. I would readily recommend them to anyone needing these kinds of services.

I called and left a message, received a call from the repairman within an hour and he came and fixed the unit that same afternoon. He didn't charge me for the time spent returning to the warehouse to get a part (actually made two trips within a two-hour span.) Very friendly and professional.
