Hilderbrand Auto Service and Repair

I had a very bad experience. Brought in my 2013 Smart Car with low compression in cylinder 1. Car sat for a month on his muddy facility. Joe kept telling me parts are on there way. He charged me $1,400.00 to as he says, fix the problem. When I drove it off his facility the check engine light came on. I brought it right back to him only for it to sit there another 2 weeks. Joe calls and says its all done. I also at this time complained to Joe about the two new scratches I noticed on my car. The now only two scratches on my pristine Smart Car with 33,000 miles. All I received was a blank look on his face. Went I left Joe's it was only another two blocks away from his business and the check engine light came on once again. I called Joe the very next day for he was closing. That's when he explained to me all he did was clear the code. IT TOOK TWO WEEKS TO CLEAR A CODE JOE ???. When I filled up my fuel tank fuel started running out from below. I personally dropped the fuel tank and found he forgot to tighten the new fuel pump he says needed replaced. This took care of the EVAP code. I drove the car 8 miles total after his repairs and the cars computer put the car into limp home mode. I had it towed to Hilderbrand once again. Joe replied after looking at it, He couldn't afford to fix it, that its now my problem, SORRY HE SAYS. I had the car towed to my work and removed the motor for my personal inspection. The vehicles cylinder head has never been removed. Still had its original dirty gaskets from factory. All Joe did was free up a stuck valve from above and charged me $1,400.00 for repairs and parts he said were performed. I called him today to show him our proof of no worked performed on the cylinder head or any internal parts replaced as he stated. Joe knew we caught him in a lie and was very blunt in telling us its now our problem not his. He also said show him a receipt for repairs performed. He knew not to give us one because of his shoddy repairs. The receipt he said was to be mailed to me. It never showed up even after a couple attempts by me to receive it. All this man needed to be was fair with us for we were there every month for something. (You can shear a sheep a thousand times but only skin it once).

Joe went above and beyond. Not only is he a nice guy he is honest. Which is always a plus. My work van would not pass emmisions due to a variety of reasons. Not only did Joe fix the problem he even drove it out to the emmisions place and got it passed for me, which was great considering how busy my schedual was.
