Heritage is a top-notch roofer... I called every roofer listed on Angie's List and spoke in detail with every one that returned my call (about half). The Heritage proposal was in the middle price-wise, was more detailed than most, and they were the only ones willing to guarantee they would meet a tight insurance deadline for replacement (which they did). Further, among the few firms that have the extra certifications and training required offer the excellent GAF "Golden" warranty (which provides excellent extra coverage backed by GAF) they were less expensive, and not at all 'hard sell' (unlike two other GAF master roofers who had an almost used-car hard-sell pitch). The work quality was excellent. The few minor goofs that occurred during the massive tear-off job were fixed without even asking. (These goofs were the result of very old very brittle siding shingles that were damaged here and there when brand new flashing was installed under the shingles on the sides of the dormers, something some roofers I got quotes from said - incorrectly - was not necessary. So despite being quite challenging on this old house, Heritage did it anyway, and corrected those few little goofs without my asking.) The owner Ted made an excellent recommendation related to removing an old, falling apart chimney down to the roof line (at no extra cost) so my the furnace company could install a liner and B-vent to replace the above-roof portion of the chimney (which looks a lot nicer). The workers did a nice job of cleaning up the job site at the end of each day, and ensuring the roof was water-tight at all times during the job, and were scrupulously polite and helpful in all aspects. So great work, delivered on time and on budget despite some challenging weather conditions.

I was very pleased with the prompt action that I got when I hired Heritage to remove the original shake roof on my garage. It required all new sheeting and Ted had it complete in a couple of days. A very clean, neat job and a great looking roof! Great price, too.
