As this was my first time dealing with a contractor, I was pretty hesitant, but he was very reassuring, and he explained exactly what he was doing and why. He answered all my questions; he and his crew were there when they said they'd be there and were very professional and polite. He charged me exactly what he estimated, and his work was quality work. I was very pleased. I've recommended his work to others and will continue to do so.

We initially met about 9 months in advance of the start of the project. As he has an engineering degree and many years in the business, he thought he would do the plans himself. However after seeing the house, he referred us to an architect who evenually drew up plans for us. They broke ground on the day he specified, and completed (with one minor exception) everything within two weeks of the estimated completion date. All of his sub contractors were friendly and professional, and worked late if they needed to. They were all very respectful of the fact that I lived here while all the work was going on. And the all cleaned up daily after themselves. Tim Hamlin was always in contact with us, letting me know what to expect the following days, or week, and always responded to me the same day anytime I had questions. The finished product is an amazing addition, and THE most beautiful flooring and granite counters I could have ever imagined. Things cost most than I had set aside originally, but I can't really complain. It has all been worth every cent.
