H Potter

On 18 May 2013, I purchased what I considered an elaborate bird feeder from H. Potter, i.e., Northern Garden Bird Feeder for $148.00.  There were several screws and nuts missing that held the glass of the feeder in place.  H. Potter customer service NEVER responded to my complaints about the missing parts.  Finally, I purchased the necessary hardware at Lowe's and fixed the
feeder myself.

     The glass in this feeder broke in less than one year.  On 05 May 2014, I ordered two pieces of replacement glass for the Northern Garden Bird Feeder.  I could not have made the order more clear by providing the information required by their website, i.e., the name of the feeder and its SKU number.  Again, like the first order, this order was not fulfilled properly.   I contacted the company about their second error.  I received a response from the owner of the company, Mr. Jerry Peed, which was rude, sarcastic, and completely unacceptable.  The response is exactly as follows:

Brian,
We will send you two new pieces of glass for GAR405.  Sorry we made a mistake and you feel we are complete idiots.  But we are human and make mistakes.  Some day we hope to obtain perfection.

     A company owner and/or executive's response to an irate customer should not be as rude and immature as Mr. Peed's.  Given the POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE of H. Potter and the attitude of the owner of H. Potter toward its customers, I strongly recommend that everyone avoid purchasing any products from this company.  If you need items for your backyard, especially for wild birds and other animals, you will find cheaper prices and significantly better customer service at http://www.duncraft.com or http://www.drsfostersmith.com.
