 + 3 moreThe contract we agreed to said that he would install the outside lights after approval of a certified electrician. The electrician came in and I paid $75.00 to give his evaluation which was that the circuitry would support the changes as listed in the contract. Everything great so far. Then he tells me that he can't do the electrical work and I'll have to pay an electrician again. I explained that was not what we agreed to and wasn't part of the contract. I refused so, while I was at work, he told my mother that he was doing work without getting paid and collected money he wasn't entitled to from her. Every single thing he was asked to do was done very poorly and also left my house further damaged. Stay FAR AWAY from this contractor. I also intend to contact any services meant to protect Seniors and recommend that they not use this individual.
Description of Work: I asked for someone that could do all of the following without having to deal with sub-contractors. Repair ceiling cracking. Widen 2 doors to 36" to make them handicap accessible, install corner guards on all corners upstairs. Replace a ceiling fan in a bathroom and install two outdoor lights. I would be supplying all materials. At this time I had him sign an agreement that he would deal only with me on any issues relating to this contract. The reason for this was that my mother had slight dementia and was incapable of saying no.
