Fine as far as changing the oil. But I have had them perform this service twice now and each time left with a more than $1000 in estimates of work they say needed to be done.
The first time was to replace the timing chain. ( My dealer said they don't even check this item until the car has gone over 100,000 miles and mine was just fine.)
The second time (July) they said and quot;needs transmission fluid leak diagnosed and repaired, steering gear replaced due to leak, power steering hose replaced due to leak, 2 tie rod end zerk fittings replaced, and 2 brake light bulbs replacedand quot;. Estimate of $1240.50 to $1360.50. I commented this was strange as I did not have any oil spots on my garage floor from a leak.
I was concerned as I am in my 70's and was taking my 90 YO Mother on a short trip and did not want to risk a breakdown. So I took my car to another mechanic and he said I did not need any of the work done except replacing the lights (which I did myself).
P.S. Divines was aware of my concern for the trip so if this was work that should be done in the near future but was not an immediate necessity they should have explained that.
Needless to say, that even though they are very nice, friendly, people I will not be going back - even for an oil change.

All went well, as usual. I've had south hill Devines do most of my automotive work over the years. I've had no problem with the work done. They are concern with providing excellent work at a decent price.

I Devine's on Grand does perfectly fine work, I guess. But after 10 years of having my cars serviced there, I have finally reached a tipping point regarding their customer service. The guys are NEVER friendly, NEVER forthcoming with helpful advice. And if you question anything at all, they are very defensive. When I recently went in following my service to question one of the services they had performed, the guy was downright rude, and said that I would have to make an appointment to have them confirm that they had looked at the transmission fluid. I have bent over BACKWARD to be cordial to these guys, but I'm tired of it. They don't treat me as though they value my business, so I will take it elsewhere.

Devine's has always done great work for me. I think they're knowledgeable and trustworthy. I'll definitely continue to take my cars here.
