the other remained unlatched. I and several other people tried to get the tail gate unlatched to no avail.
This morning I took it to Craig?s Automotive Collision Center, 6321 N. Cincinnati, in Spokane. One of the
crew took it to the back and told me they would have to drill out the rivets on the plate in the back of
the tail gate to get to the cables inside. Within 20 minutes, they came back with the tail gate repaired,
lubed and working smoothly, and advised that the cables inside were getting stretched and at some
point would need replacement at a cost of about $325. They did not recommend that this be done right
away but at some future point of failure because it was now much easier to replace. Their charge for
this work was zero.
In December last year I brought the same truck to Craig?s to repair the driver?s door which would not
open or close properly. The repair was extensive and I was given the estimate. When I returned to pick
up the truck I was told that a part which they had ordered and assumed was needed was not, in the end,
needed. This reduced the cost of the repair by $100. And, the repair was guaranteed as long as I owned
the truck.
I am very impressed with the work and ethics of this company. They are very personable and
professional and I recommend them to anyone with auto body problems or anything else they service.
