Cougar Rooter

I was told by the previous home owner that I should have the drain system rooted ever few years, but had neglected to do so. When my washer backed up and water was flowing into the basement, I called the plumber who had recently done significant pipe replacement work for me. He recommended that I call COUGAR-ROOTER. Mr.. Fuller said that he had been in the rooter business for 26 years.

Mr. Fuller was prompt, professional and prepared to do the work. He initially used a large rooter blade and encountered soil and roots about five feet into the pipe. He switched to a smaller blade and was able to cut through the first mass, but encountered another several feet further. He patiently worked on clearing several blockages and removed significant soil accumulation. At one point he encountered a blockage and suggested that we use an expandable bulb with the hose, to clear the mass. This worked and he was able to continue clearing the pipe until the he believed that the city drain junction had been reached.

We then discussed using the camera to document the system and evaluate whether there was tile failure that may need replacement. The camera identified several possible issues to watch in the future, but no tile failure, which was very helpful and gave me great relief.

I enjoyed working with Mr. Fuller and will definitely call on him on an annual basis to keep my drain system functioning properly!
