We had CertaPro paint the outside of our home some years back and they did an excellent job. We needed 2 bathrooms repainted so we went back to CertaPro and the bid came in what we wanted to pay. One nice man came out taped everything and painted our 2 bathrooms and he did an excellent job, we were very happy with the company, the painter and the finished job well done !! Do not hire CertaPro. It took them 2 months to paint my house. I should have known not to hire them from the very beginning. They sent me to Sherwin Williams to do a color match and I was told they don’t do that. I had to contact Preston the Residential Sales Consultant so he could contact Sherwin Williams to get my paint matched. I should have just cancelled at that point. I then received an email from the Production Manager Dirk stating that they would be starting my paint job the week of 04/22/2024. I received a phone call from my painter Shawn and he let me know they would start painting on 04/22/2024 and the paint job would take about a week to a week and a half. Shawn and his helper showed up at my house to begin working. They worked for about a week before the helper never showed back up to work. A week and a half after that, Shawn told us he was going to lunch and he never returned. He also left his ladders, sawhorses, and painting supplies all over my yard. I was then contacted by Dirk and explained what happened with Shawn and he asked me how much painting I thought was left and if I thought it could be accomplished in a day. I told him that I didn’t think it could be finished in a day but, he is more than welcome to come look. He also said that he is trying to get 2 guys to the house for safety reasons. I explained that Shawn had been at my house for a week and a half painting by himself and it didn’t seem to be an issue then. I received a phone call a couple of days later and Dirk told me that Jonny would be showing up on 05/17/2024 to finish painting the house. Weird that he sent one guy when he just got done telling me that he needed 2 guys here for safety reasons. Jonny showed up for an hour and then he left and didn’t come back that day. There were a few days where it rained during the process and that slowed painting down a bit but, I would say having one guy painting and painters walking off the job was probably much more of the hold up. Dirk then contacted me a couple of days later and said he had a crew of 4 coming out on 05/20/2024 to finish up the house. This crew stayed all day but, the overall paint job was subpar. There were several issues with the finish and I had just had a brand new fiberglass door installed before the painting began and the paint job that was on that door looked like it could have been done by a child. I even took the door off so it could be sprayed, yes, I removed the door at the Shawn’s request. Dirk and I did a walk through and I pointed several things out to him that needed to be fixed. Dirk told me that he could offer me a $300 discount for the door being trashed. He said that expecting the door to be flawless was an unrealistic expectation and I asked him if “right” is an unrealistic expectation. I told him I didn’t think that a $300 discount was acceptable and he said he would contact the owner Josh. About 20 minutes after he left, he called me and said that the owner Josh was willing to take $1000 off the final price. Without even seeing the issues with the paint job, Josh was willing to take a $1000 off the quoted price? In my opinion, because they had taken so long, he was trying to get me to just walk away. I asked Dirk if that was a $1000 off and they fix everything that is wrong with the paint job and he replied that the $1000 off would mean they would just walk away and they were done. I asked him to put me in contact with Josh. Josh then called me on 05/22/2024 and was very apologetic, though he had not seen the issues yet. A week later on 05/29/2024, Josh and Dirk came to my house and I was able to show Josh my issues with the paint job. I was also able to show him the paint over spray on my A/C unit and the paint on my patio and sidewalks. I also showed him the trash I picked up out of my yard. As per the CertaPro website they do a complete walk around and clean up at the end of each day. This did not happen. Josh made quite a few excuses as to why my house looked so poor and attributed some of it to “these things happen” , “Those issues were probably there before but you didn’t notice them”, and, my personal favorite, “You have to expect a certain amount of flaws”. I asked Josh if he wanted to take pictures of my house in it’s current state and post them on his website as one of his show houses to show their superior quality of work and he declined. He also informed me that the discount would be more than the $1000 he originally said he would knock off of the quoted price. He then asked me for a punch list of what we would like fixed and I provided it to he and Dirk via email on 06/04/2024. I received this reply from Dirk the same day “Thank you Paul. I would say, this is a pretty fair punch list, and we shouldn't have a problem completing these items. Please keep in mind, some touchups will need time to blend as discussed. I will be in touch this week to schedule around your graduation plans as you told us.” The graduation party Dirk was referring to was on 06/08/2024. And I received this reply from Josh “It was great meeting you and Lisa last week. Thank you for sending this along. As Dirk mentioned this is fair and we should be able to correct most of these. The only one that I want to provide more clarity on is the ability to fix the stippling/drip marks. There needs to be some tolerance to stippling as it will occur to some level when painting. As Dirk mentioned during our in person visit we can work on reducing/knocking down the stippling on the lower level areas on the west side. It will not be glass smooth or completely vanish, but we can knock it down more. Thanks, and let me know if you have any questions.” Keep in mind the “stippling” was all over the west side of my house and not on any other side. I was told 3 different reasons why there was so much stippling but, at the end of the day I just wanted it fixed because it looked horrible. Dirk then contacted me and told me that a crew would be coming out on Saturday 06/15/2024 and Josh let me know that he would now be taking $1500 off the final price. I let him know that I feel like things are getting drawn out and that at no time during this whole process did I feel like my house was a priority and his response was “You’re already p***** off, I can’t pull guys off of another job and p*** someone else off”. On 06/15/2024 the crew of 2 guys showed up and started working the punch list. That afternoon, one of the painters pointed out that the touch up they were doing with the sands of time color was not matching the paint they previously sprayed the house with and needed to do a new color match. I explained that I didn’t want the west side of my house a different color than the other 3 sides of my house and he said he would contact Dirk and they left for the day. Dirk then contacted me on 06/17/2024 and let me know he would be coming out to my house with a Sherwin Williams rep to take a look at the paint difference and come up with a solution. After they came to the house on Wednesday, Dirk texted me to let me know a crew would be at my house on Friday 06/21/2024. They showed up and completed some of the punch list and, again, left my yard trashed. They actually poured paint into my flower beds. I guess it was a nice accent to the other 4 spots where they spilled primer in the grass and it died. They also damaged the brand new lockset I purchased with the brand new door and threw my doors weather stripping into the flower bed. I emailed Josh and Dirk on Saturday morning 06/22/2024 after I did another walk around and took pictures. Josh called me around noon on Monday 06/24/2024 and we discussed my email and what course of action we were going to take. As he went down the list, he wanted to argue with me about whether or not it was his painters that damaged my property. He asked me how I knew it was his guys that damaged my lockset and that they had told him they didn’t. I referred him to the pictures I sent him and invited him out to my house to see for himself but, he passed. He also said that the damage to my A/C unit was probably done by me a while ag

From the start they were informative gave tips on ideas that may make the color scheme I chose even better. They were there the day they said they would be and two days later after a little rain delay they were wrapped. I am very happy with the outcome of my house.

The sales rep said we would be paying extra because we have lead paint and the crew could not follow their standard procedure of pressure washing the house. He said they would lay down plastic sheeting and scrape the loose paint and collect the paint chips. The first thing the painter did when he arrived was fire up the pressure washer and started blowing lead paint chips all over. I had to stop the painter and call the “supervisor” Dirk and had to fight with him about the method being used. He told me lead is only a concern for children and pregnant women. The painter got paint on my sidewalk and couldn’t clean it up. I had to remind the painter multiple times to pick up the lead paint chips they spread all over my property. A representative from certa pro never visited the job to do a quality check, they leave it up to the paying customer to fight it out with the third party painter to finish the job to their satisfaction. Cleanliness and communication could not have been worse.

Our house needed painting and we desired a different color. Kenny came out to give us a quote and suggested a color we would not have thought of, but after trying a sample we accepted the quote. The job was quoted in February and the work began in May. Power wash one day, and then 1.5 days to paint. Lots of compliments from neighbors and we are pleased by the transformation. Negatives would include short notice of when the job would start, and losing a few plants that were stepped on, but overall, the team was respectful. Pricing was fair, and much less than two neighbors paid last year for same size homes. We would use them again, and you should too.

After getting four quotes for the exterior painting of our split level house I decided to go with Certa Pro Painters and I am so glad I did! The contract was very fair. Two amazing painters power washed our house expeditiously, came back on schedule and finished painting in a day and a half! I am very impressed with the results. They worked smart and fast together with attention to detail and did an exceptional job. Our house looks great! I highly recommend Certa Pro Painters.

The entire process was great, starting with a responsive and accurate quote, friendly office staff, efficient process for tracking and approval of work, and a FANTASTIC painting crew. It was a very difficult job due to high elevation and they were true pros. Also, our house looks great now!

The paint crew was friendly and did a decent job. Make certain you get a clear, written understanding of exactly what you are paying for when you sign the contract. It was implied during the original estimate painting the 'trim' included vertical trim, but was invoiced another $1000, (20%) more to run a roller over about 200' of vertical trim around the house. Could of done it myself for $50 of paint. Clear case of pricing gouging. For a $1000 more you would think that would include the 'edges' of the trim board, but no just the facing surface.

The whole experience from beginning to end was great. Upfront we knew what to expect while they were painting, no surprise costs, and everyone was very friendly and nice. Great quality as well. I would use them again in a heart beat.

CertaPro is good about communication; we were told about possible delay due to rain, even though the dates for the job were some days away. The painters were friendly, considerate and efficient. The job site supervisor answered every question and concern and before leaving told us what they would be working on the following day. The paint looks great. We were thinking CertaPro would be more expensive than others, but the estimate was lower. The estimator was thorough when looking over the house and the need for preparation.

The two painters were awesome, the office staff was awesome and the pre painting bid guy was awesome!!! My house is the talk of the neighborhood in a positive way. I'm very pleased!!!

The estimator was adequate (not the best, but ok) - for example, he was not a painter and was a little off on some of the work required. The painters, however, were fantastic. Certapro is on the expensive side, but we went with them because we waited too long and they were one of the few places that could get us in before summer was over. Overall, we're happy with the paint job and would recommend them.

Everything was professional from start to finish. They contacted me immediately, followed up diligently, provided a computer generated estimate right at the property, scheduled the work, worked around the weather and showed up on time. They provided excellent quality work and the results were great!

Perfect. They had me inspect their work upon completion. I found one spot that needed another coat and they gladly applied it.

The sales consultation was great, he gave great recommendation on the colors to use and set expectations on the service that we could expect and was all about the overall customer experience. We were expecting this to be done in just over a day but there was really only one person at a time present so it ended up taking 2 and a half days which was OK as someone was home to accommodate. For the most part the painters left the area clean, not perfect but we were more than happy with that aspect of the work. All of the paint work met expectations except the cut line between the walls and ceiling, the first attempt was very poor but they touched it up and it was improved but still not acceptable. After calling and leaving a voicemail they made an appointment to come and rectify (same painter turned up) and took a day touching up but overall it is not better. At this point I give up and will have to do it myself which is ridiculous, I am far from being a professional painter and am not a perfectionist but there is no way I can leave it like this. Very disappointing as after reading the reviews here this is not what I would have expected.

Very good painters but insisted I got my paint from a certain company but the white wasn't the white they said it was. They gave me a date to start and never showed up. When I called, they gave me an excuse and we had to reschedule a week or so out.

We were very happy with them. For price, I gave them an A because they were more reasonable than some. My husband said that there were a couple of barriers of the trim that over lapped with paint but that is so minor, any body can do that. The workers were excellent. They were very professional and friendly.
