Rick from Blue Flame was very professional and thorough. We told all contractors who were giving us bids that we were very happy with our old 10 Seer AC & 80K BTU system but since the AC dead, we wanted to replace both units. Even though we said we were happy with the old system, Rick at Blue Flame went ahead and did the full heat loss analysis on our home. Blue Flame was the only one of the contractors that did that and because of that was the only one that determined we did not need another 80K BTU furnace in a high efficiency model. This saved us money at time of purchase and will save money during usage for years to come. They answered all our questions and were willing to listen to what we wanted based on the way we use AC & heating. They did not just give us the ‘industry standard’ statistics of how the ‘average’ homeowner benefits from the latest advances in HVAC technology. They listened to our desire to forego some of the ‘benefits’ of newer technology which we felt didn’t provide a benefit we cared about. They built our system around our higher priority desire to keep all maintenance costs down in the future to avoid repair bills that might be too high to handle in case of a failure at the wrong time. Installation was very professional, smooth & efficient, and all costs had been anticipated in the quote. The system has been running fantastically since being installed 3 weeks ago. This new HVAC system is very quiet compared to the old one and does keep the temperature between all areas of the house better equalized than our old system. We would definitely recommend Blue Flame.

Blue Flame was extremely professional and very interested in making the project something that we could both be proud of accomplishing. I felt that I got really good value for my dollar and American Standard equipment is of the highest quality. They were on-site for 3 days and I am just so impressed with the system, they went out of their way to design it so that it would not only be efficient, but wouldn't encroach upon my storage space. I would not hesitate to recommend Blue Flame Heating, especially for new construction.

Rick came out to try to troubleshoot our A/C unit, correctly diagnosed the problem and offered options to get the system operational. Once we chose an option, the owrk was done on time, on budget, as promised. We had a slight glitch in the system shortly after installation and Rick was immediately responsive and fixed the problem.

Repair was completed the end of July (26th). When we started using heat in late October/early November we noticed a small moist spot in rug. Son thought maybe friends had spilled something or dog had had an and quot;accidentand quot; and did not think much about it. He noticed the wetness continuing and getting worse. We investigated and found the source of moisture--a small condenser pipe had been disconnected and had been slowly dripping whenever condensation built up. We pulled up the rug and it was evident it had been and quot;drippingand quot; slowly for months. We took pictures and called Blue Flame. The wife of repairman promised to have him come and check out the damage. Repairman did not show on scheduled day (no show/no call). Repeated phone calls went unanswered until finally able to again connect with wife. She stated the repairman had no reason to be in the closet (seriously?--that is where the unit is housed!) and he would be wiling to come out and fix the leak for a fee (Again, seriously?--no thanks, it was an easy fix that we did ourselves). Just poor customer service all round. I would not recommend or use them again.

"We did respond to customer, and we told them that we did not touch in that area at all on furnace, we were there to repair air conditioner. We let them know that we could fix it, but it would cost them, if we found that we had not touched it. And the customer started using language and yelling. We have resolved it through the BBB. The customer was never going to be happy with us at all no matter what."

Job went very well. Permits were acquired and inspections to be performed by city inspector were scheduled. Crew arrived at agreed upon time, made contact and confirmed work to be performed. Drop clothes were place on floors and carpet in work and travel areas. Crew began work immediately and continued until all work was completed. Contact was made with stove manufacturer to confirm gas line size and required gas flow rate. Upon completion of the day's work, all work areas were cleaned and returned to "better than found" condition. After inspection, crew returned for completion of hookups and stove performance test.

Showed up at time specified, performed all tasks as quoted, cleaned up after completion of tasks. Placed drop cloths cover on all carpeted areas that were affected by the workers immediately at the start of the job.
