I took in my truck because I thought that the throwout bearing was going bad and asked them to look into it. A couple days later they called and told me my truck was done. When I went in, it was still making the same noise and when I asked the manager about it he said and quot;you told is throwout bearing and the clutch was messed up, so we fixed that part of it, though you are correct that we did not fix the problem that you asked forand quot;. After a little negotiating, they ended up fixing the transmission. and quot;So what?and quot; you might be asking? Well, he only charged me parts, so by the time it was all said and done, they did the clutch work for free. This was really appreciated as I was on a tight budget and they wanted to put me back on the road safely for what I could afford. For that, they get all A's.

I took my car in to get the heater fixed and I dropped it off on a Tuesday with Wanda, the owner. I explained what was going on (heater did not work) and what needed to be fixed (guy I work with thought it was the fan motor). The next day, one of their mechanics called me to tell me the problem was something completely different (I needed a new radiator) and it would cost $600. Although I don't know much about cars, I would have noticed if my radiator was leaking like he said, but I still thought he's probably right, and I agreed to have them do this as long as this would fix my heater...and he assured me it would (my car is only worth about $1,000 so I'm not looking to get major work done but he said this had to be done to fix the heater).

He called me later that day (after doing $600 in repairs) to say that my heater still did NOT work and he had now decided the problem was what I originally thought and it was (the fan motor didn't work, as I had told Wanda, but the mechanic said he never got that message)......it was now going to be another day and another $200.
I asked that Wanda give me a call because I felt as though she didn't relay what I told her about my car and wanted to talk to her about them doing $600 worth of work I didn't need. She agreed and said they would undo the work they did and just do the $200 fix (this was Wednesday afternoon). That sounded reasonable to me. Friday comes and I'm expecting them to call and tell me my car is ready. Before I knew it, it was 3:00 and I hadn't heard anything so I called them. The other receptionist told me they hadn't done anything with my car because they were waiting to hear from me about how to procede. I was very irritated and explained that I spoke to Wanda on Wednesday and we agreed on a solution. Wanda never delivered THAT message either.
The receptionist was very nice and understood why I wasn't happy and apologized about the whole situation and told me just to come down and we'll figure it out because they did mess up. I left work early and drove down there (in a borrowed car) to try and sort this out thinking maybe there's just some confusion. When I got down there, Wanda wouldn't agree to our original deal because they put too much into my car to not get paid and she threw away my original parts, which the mechanic told me later they still had. She was very combative and said it's my fault for letting the mechanic do the work in the first place and she continued to yell at me with other customers in the lobby. I was silent and shocked that this was happening....Wanda was holding my car hostage?!!!!
The receptionist took me to the back to talk to the mechanic and he explained that he could put the original parts back in but I would have to bring it back the next week to get the heater fixed because it obviously still didn't work. The receptionist said they would just charge me parts with no labor to make-up for this mess. This sounded fair and reasonable to me. When we got back into the office by Wanda, they tried to charge me for labor and my cost kept creeping back up. I couldn't believe this was happening, she disregarded another agreement, and tried to make me to overpay for the work again....if I wanted my car back.
Now in tears at the way Wanda was treating me as a customer, I thought it was best that I leave my car there until we could come up with a solution that I was comfortable with. I'm a young woman in my early 20's and felt like they took advantage of that. They tried to make unnecessary repairs and Wanda tried to hold my car hostage until I paid. Following many conversations (and continued disrespect from Wanda) over the weekend we reached an agreement to pick up my car Monday morning, the heater still didn't work.
I will never do business with Bekkering ever again. This was a brutal process, the treatment I recieved was disrespectful and dishonest.

First of all, when I broke down just up the block from them, they didn't hesitate to send a couple of guys to help my husband push my car off the road. Then they even made an exception and towed my car back to their shop at no expense. They were prompt at figuring out the problem and fixing it . Had to replace a bunch of stuff so it was pricey but would have been wherever I took it. I always take my cars to Bekkerings. They will do free estimates and be honest about if something really needs to be done or if it can wait. They are friendly and professional. Will continue to use them and recommend them.

Bekkering's Automotive Inc didn't do an extensive job so he didn't charge me. If I have a concern, I bring my car in and they put it up and check it and fix it. They are trustworthy and for some who works on auto mobiles, I think that is a big deal. I would recommend them. He could have charged me for fix the oil leak but he didn't although he did inform me about it.

My husband has dealt with them 4 or 5 times and he has been extremely pleased. He is a hard sell. I am also satisfied. They have standard costs and we got what we paid for. We never felt like we had been taken. I have only interacted with them over the phone and I have been satisfied.
