ACCENT STOVE & SPA

Accent carried the Travis Industries models (Lopi, Avalon, Fireplace-Extr.) which were recommended due to the smaller size available. Love the fireplace and the install was fast and professional. The installer (sorry, I forgot his name) is usually their service guy but also does installs. He took great care in getting the "embers" and logs set up just right. I will definitely use them for the yearly maintenance.

We began looking for a gas fireplace insert, did a lot of online research, and then visited nearly every vendor in Spokane in a single day, armed with our criteria.  It was at the end of the day that we found several stores that stood out from the rest for quality and attentiveness to what we were looking for, rather than what they wanted to push.
Accent was the last one we visited, and their product fit our needs better than anyone else.  Their price was in line with everyone else, and their product--the Lopi stove--was better built, and had more output range than most others.  Most inserts have a very tight BTU output range, with little variation from low to high, whereas the insert we finally purchased could range from less than 10,000 BTUs to 30,000.  It is made to run well without power, and can be obtained with or without a lot of electronic controls.
The install was very smooth.  They arrived on time, and while they had to fight our chimney configuration, they ended up installing things in a more pleasing configuration (gas line routing) than had originally been proposed.  They cleaned up well after themselves, and were a pleasure to deal with.
This business carries a full line of inserts across the price spectrum, and their prices are all in line or less than competitors, and I believe the quality of product is significantly higher.
I gave two B grades above, which, like the scale, I take for "Good."  Price was indeed good--it was in line with competitors' offerings for what I considered a better product--though not Excellent, which would have rated an A.  Responsiveness also got a B, which again was good.  I e-mailed some questions, and they were responded to, but not always same day.  I understand, and have no problem with the delay, so have rated it good.  Same day would have rated "Excellent."

Our new stove is now installed and working well.  However, there were glitches in every step of the process.  The estimate was not calculated correctly.  The wrong size material was brought so the one- day project turned into a two- day project.  The new stove was not put in the same spot as the old one and we were told it "could not be done" until we insisted.  Then they magically were able to move it to the correct spot.  The installer told me to call for a final county inspection.  I did, and waited all day for an inspector to  show up.  He never did so I called the next day and they said it had been finalized with the installer and no final inspection was needed (so I sat home all day needlessly).

Accent's sales people were knowledgeable and prompt. The installation went very well, we had a small issue with a gas leak when they left but that was an issue with the unit and not the installation. The installer was very prompt and fixed it right away.

OUR EXPERIENCE WAS DELIGHTFUL. THE REP. SPENT 2 -3 HOURS TALKING ABOUT ALL TYPES OF SPA'S. HE ENCOURAGED US TO SEE THE COMPETITORS AND COMPARE. IT WAS A GREAT EXPERIENCE.
