Our AC unit went down Thurs. nite and called another popular company first that had a coupon, but the earliest time was Friday the next day for after hours service after 4 pm. and it was going to be $135/hr PLUS the $ for the 20 point inspection coupon, which I cancelled not knowing what was wrong since that wouldn't have fixed it anyway. (Thanks Angie'sList for refunding that immediately.) So, we called McCleary around 7:30am. and they gave us the serviceman's phone on their voice message. Robert called back quickly and gave us a time of 1pm. to 2pm. and got here on time. (Note: we live 40 minutes out of town too). They went straight to the AC unit and found a capacitor was bad so the fan wouldn't run. Fortunately we'd turned it off when it made a bad noise. He replaced the capacitor with a heavier duty one and we were up and running in 15 minutes! Yeah - it hadn't burned up so only cost us around $220 for the part and 1-1/2 hrs time! The other review is true for us also- we won't use anybody else now either unless necessary. AND if they had installed our system it would've been right saving us $600 for that solder redo!
