War Drywall and Painting LLC

This company took a HUGE down payment for a job that was scheduled to be done this upcoming July. Now they are not answering phone calls or emails and their website is down. They scammed me out of thousands of dollars. Contacting a lawyer to get our money back! Beware these predators.

We hired Walter to do level 5 finish throughout the house, which they definitely failed to achieve. He installed new drywall and did a skim coat over older drywall that had texture. The result was pretty bad. After the initial completion of drywall installation, taping, mudding and then painting, there were so many errors and places where I could see unsanded patches and many dings and undulations in the drywall that I asked Walter to fix it. He tended to be quite defensive with many excuses during these conversations which I found unprofessional. It was worrisome to me that he nor his team had not noticed these issues without my pointing it out to him. He attempted to fix these issues a number of times. Unfortunately it was still a poor result in some areas. We had to hire another Drywaller to fix it and we ended up having to sand and repaint the stairwell too since there was dirt mixed in with the paint since they had not prepared well enough. Save yourself the trouble?stay away!

I needed my popcorn ceilings removed and retextured urgently to keep my remodel project on schedule . They responded quickly and got the job done before the promised completion date. I was always kept in the loop with open communication and was never left wondering the status. The work that was completed exceeded my expectations and it was a quality job done well! I would hire again without any reservations.

They were on time and on target with everything. I was amazed at how quickly they were able to do the job.

I have extensive experience in hiring contractors, almost always, despite enormous research, being vastly disappointed. War Drywall has been the exception. From the beginning, their communications have been unbelievable. I was so impressed with the bidding process that I absolutely expected them to be the most expensive quote, and off the charts. I was so happy when I received a competitive, fair bid. Their were not the least expensive, but my communications left me feeling their were a great fit. My expectations were blown away. From the beginning, to the end, the communications were absolutely unbelievable. They kept on schedule and they leapt over disastrous supplier challenges to keep on schedule. Raul was the first man I met, and here until the end. What a great asset he is to Walt. From the beginning, he left me so comfortable with the work that they would do, and he and the rest of Walt’s crew absolutely blew away my expectations. An exceptional company!!!

Walter was great about communicating progress and any issues that popped up. They finished 5 days ahead of the original estimate, and sent in cleaners to tidy up after. My ceilings look great! (I had old popcorn ceilings removed)

We hired war drywall and painting for a new construction home and Iâ  ve got to say the communication with Walter and his office was above and beyond kept us updated daily on every step until the project was completed Raul drywall finisher and the team war did fantastic level five smooth finish they made my walls and ceiling look like one solid piece of art drywall seems completely disappeared, and it looks fabulous We would definitely recommend them to all looking for great detail, and craftsmanship and will definitely use them in our next future projects thank you WAR !!!

Hired to hang, finish, and paint drywall for a remodel. Inattention to detail. They departed when drywall patches and transitions were clearly visible. Multiple return trips to work those issues. A hole in one wall was not filled. An electrical box was covered by drywall. The primer color is visible through the finish color. Final result? The work is not up to the same standard as the work completed in other areas of the house, by other drywall pros. Amateur results. Have plenty of photos of the poor results. A key element of the project was noise isolation. WAR folks failed to follow specifications for gaps between materials and failed to use sound-deadening materials consistent with mfg specs. While Walter communicated consistently, the only offer to resolve the issues was to pay more to resolve the poor-quality results. I invited Walter to inspect the work for himself, but he declined. Attention to detail and providing a quality result were not their focus while they were VERY demanding for immediate payment. Quite sad. Have never had an experience with a contractor that came to an unsatisfactory conclusion. Completed several remodels. We have always been able to arrive at a consensus when there were issues. Not this time. Did not get the expected value. Unfortunate. Recommend avoiding WAR. Wish I had.

Assessment was head and shoulders above the other competitive bids, work was done promptly and with excellent quality, and both of us were overly impressed with how respectful and clean Raul was! 10/10 would hire again for other projects.

We hired WAR to mud and tape our 2600 sq ft home with a level 4 finish and 4 corner window wrap. Their attention to detail and craftsmanship was exceptional. Raul and Lupe were very meticulous and their corners look amazing. The final walk through further demonstrated their quality as they went through each room of the house with lighting to address any imperfections after PVA was applied. We will definitely bring them back for our ADU project and they are welcome to use us for future references.

Walter was very communicative with me every step of the way throughout the project. Popcorn ceilings were removed and the walls were also painted. The finished product of the ceilings turned out great and the paint job was even and color matched perfectly.

Got a basic Level 1 Drywall finish and a few panels put up in my garage to push a project through and did the touch up myself. Glad to get it done, Thanks WAR. They were the only call I got that would come out for less than $5000. 4 panels and a Level 1 finish for a 700 sqft garage was about $2500.

The project went smoothly with the leadership and management of the Sales Rep Walter. The project team was on-time and they explained the work that was done in detail, and everyone was courteous and professional. Well Done! Highly recommended
