Dan from Sunset Air explained the unit operation in detail before we purchased it. About a week later, after the unit came into his shop, his crew installed the unit on day one and then an air conditioning technician came in on day two to charge the coolant and turn the unit up. The second technician explained the operation of the unit in detail. Although we have only had the unit one day we are extremely happy with the quality of the heat, quietness of operation, and consistency of the heat.

They are on time, neat, and do a really good job about explaining things. They were prompt to respond when I had a problem and fixed it quickly. They are great to work with and very professional.

I'm still negotiating with Sunset Air. I had another contractor out to look at it and they did what I asked to do to start with but they were not interested in continuing work so I expanded the scope of my (inaudible 01:03:05) and that includes Sunset. They offer a pretty good 10 year warranty and I asked to see the warranty and my wife and I read the fine for that. We questioned an item, the item that we questioned was the warranty was void if we install it in a corrosive environment. We live in an ocean community and we have a pretty good view of the ocean so we sought a written explanation from them that the air in the address would not be considered corrosive for purpose of the warranty. It's not their warranty, it's the manufacturer's warranty so they went back to the manufacturer and they've been going around in circles ever since. The manufacturer keeps them dancing, one party says it's covered and ten another party says it isn't and we said "we want a letter." I think we decided to do something a little different. We're probably going to convert it to an electric furnace and do away with the heat pump. It's highly unlikely at this point that I will buy a heat pump from them but not because I have any problems with them. Their numbers were competitive. He's really gone out of his way to try and help us. I'm very pleased with the attitude and the responsiveness of their representative. He did a great job with the sales pitch, very professional and I'm pretty picky about that.
