I bought a voucher for the initial moss-killing roof treatment spray. Here’s how my interactions went after that:
1) 2/25: I contacted company to schedule the initial treatment and they responded 2/26 with an email stating that I could expect service 2/29, between 9am-10am
2) 2/29: went by with no word from them and clearly no one had come to the house, I emailed the next to ask what the story was
3) 3/3: after 2 emails asking “what’s up?” with no responses, I called the company. Receptionist explained that they had another job that day that went over scope and they couldn’t come by. I was now on the schedule for service on 3/9.
4) 3/9: came and went without service or communication, but it was rainy off and on that day. I emailed asking if they rescheduled again.
5) 3/10: I received an email “we didn’t make it yesterday due to weather, I have put you on for 3/18”
6) 3/18: Finally they actually come over! 2 guys, one is the owner from the picture, the other guy tells me they can clean the whole roof and gutters that day for an extra $100. I’m like, “really? I thought the product had to sit a while???” Then the owner comes to the door and explains, “sorry, that guy doesn’t know what he’s talking about, we can only spray today and can’t remove moss for another 2-4 weeks after.” They go ahead and spray the roof, it only takes about an hour. I ask for them to leave the estimate for what the removal step will cost. In the voucher and online they say they will leave this estimate. The owner says he will email it to me.
7) 3/22: I still have not received an estimate, so I email the company. I get a prompt response “I have asked the owner, I will get back to you when I get this information from him”
8) 3/24: I ping them again, “what’s the quote for return service?”. No response, radio silence.
9) 4/1: I give up on this company and hire someone else to come pressure-wash the moss debris off.
Long story short- it was like pulling teeth getting them to come out and do work for me and in the end they stopped responding to me entirely. What a terrible business model to ignore a potential paying customer! More stress and hassle worrying if they were actually going to be reliable than it was worth.
