4/18 Dropped off mower
5/8 Picked up mower - was told that they didn't replace anything. They just greased it up. $108.
5/10 Mowed the lawn and transmission still slipped. Not surprised...no parts were replaced!
5/20 Dropped off mower again - told I was #1 in the queue since I had returned for same problem.
5/29 Called for an update and told mower needed new transmission (ordered that day)
- How was I #1 in the queue when parts were ordered 8 business days later?
6/5 Called for update. Told repair + transmission was $180. Mower still not ready.
6/11 Mower ready for pickup 17 business days after I dropped it off for the 2nd time.
6/13 Showed up to pickup mower and pay. Total was $230. Told the guy behind the counter that I was quoted $180 a few days ago. He was not interested in listening to my story and told me to speak to Pam (the owner) who was not in.
- Talked to Pam later in the day. She apologized and said I would not pay for labor and said new total was $134 which I paid over the phone. Said she would drop off the mower at my workplace 2 blocks away so I could pick it up anytime. I was impressed! That good deed more than made up for my bad experience thus far.
6/15 Stopped by my work to pick up the mower and they had not dropped it off as promised.
I live in Issaquah and work in the Clearview area a few days a week. I have made 4 trips to Woodinville Saws after getting off work to deal with them. Nearly two months have passed since I dropped the mower off at their establishment and it is still not in my possession. This company is not worthy of being on Angie's List.
The place looks a little sketchy, but the people are very nice.
I was told it would be 10 to 14 days due to the spring seasonal rush.
6 days later they called and it was ready.
I was impressed that the technician noted on the work slip that all blower parts were and quot;like newand quot; and only an adjustment to the carburetor, choke, and idle settings were needed.
Equally impressive was the gal that rang me up noted that her new technician didn't realize that it was okay to charge me less than an hours labor. (He thought one hour was the minimum). She made the change on the work slip to one-half hour and charged me accordingly.
I tested the blower in their parking lot before I loaded into my truck and it started on the second pull. Just like when it was new.
I've since used the blower twice for a total of about 90 minutes, and it is working great so far. Obviously the fix was spot on.
P.S. They also stock a wide range of parts for the equipment that they repair and that are difficult to find elsewhere.
I was called and told to pick up the item about a week later.
I asked if the cost was over $100 to let me know. The woman was a little hesitant to insure they would do that - somewhat jumped around the issue.
I picked up the item, took it home, and went over the paperwork.
I noticed the gas tank was empty ( 1/2 pt. capacity) but there was a $6 charge for gas. Hm-m-m-m
I called back and questioned the charge, especially after I brought it in full and there was no gas in the tank when I picked it up.
They apparently empty the gas tank as a basic maintenance measure and put their and quot;ownand quot; in. ( nowhere is there a sign that claims this)
The woman who answered the phone said and quot;we always charge $6 for gas.and quot;
I told her I thought that was and quot;paddingand quot; the bill, since I had no gas in the tank and the tank was only 1/2 pt capacity.
She offered to give me a $6 refund; I told her I would take her up on it the next time I brought something in.
I would use the company again with reservations.
