Things went extremely well. They pressure washed and cleaned the house with a bleach solution a couple of days before coming out to paint. On the day of painting 9 people showed up and after being given instructions by Brad Johnson they proceeded to divide into groups and paint the various parts of the house. They worked extremely efficiently and as a team. They finished the house in one day. You could tell that most of them had worked together for awhile. I had two minor problems (missed door jamb and a window sill) and they came out and finished the job about 1 week later. They did some things above the service request without charge: (1) cleaned and washed off my trellis coverings (2) and replaced a gutter elbow that had a leak in it. Brad also helped me picked out a great color for my front door, which I have received many complements on. They were very easy to work with. I was pleased with the result and they were less expensive than the other bids I got.
Painting was accomplished in one day with 5-6 painters. They were courteous and careful. No overspray, no mess, no damage, no sloppy workmanship. They did exactly what they were contracted to do. I am very happy with the job.
The wife and I are very happy and the lack of issues with the painting process honestly makes us like / love the house that much more.
Thank you paint rangers!
I feel that he must be extremely busy right now because it took him about a week to come out to my house and then I had to wait about another week before he started the work. The communication is rather poor with this company. He originally called me and we discussed what we were going to do. We were going to do the pressure washing Friday and the painting on Monday. I waited around until Monday afternoon and he still hadn't shown so I decided to call him. He didn't answer, but he did return my call and left a voicemail stating that he had a delay. I feel that he should have called me and informed me before hand. Also, after I got the final cost, it was a bit higher than he originally quoted. He claimed that the pressure washing was not added in the bid even though we discussed doing that.
"What the laddie left out it how the job was done and she said it was outstanding and to my face said she would love to use us again. for the price coming back different then what she thought. I give every person the option to save money by having "Optional" items on the bid. in this case it was a Pressure wash, It was clearly on the bid ADD $150 for the P.W and we did the pressure wash and charged her for it. I treat every paint job as if it is my own. If you want a list of people who like our work the list goes on and on."
They came by the week before to pressure wash and reminded us to close our windows before we left for work. Then this week, they masked all of the important areas and covered most of the plants. When they needed some plants cut back, they told me and I took care of it. The crew of 3 came by on Monday, Thursday, and Friday to do the work on our 1400 sq ft split-level. Jeffrey pulled off our shutters and scraped off some rotting decoration the previous owners had put on there. He then hand-painted the shutters and set them aside. Jeffrey removed some rotting wood from our chimney and replaced it, and caulked the holes a woodpecker had left some years before when the previous owners owned the house. He also caulked around the bottom of the chimney to prevent further damage. The crew primed and painted the whole place, and did some detail work like painting the numbers on the house a dark color and painting the flower box to match the shutters.
I really appreciated how the crew took the time to make sure everything was done right. They had me walk around the house to make sure everything was as I expected but I didn't see anything I would change. I would definitely hire them again. It's nice to see people who really enjoy their job and want to do it right!
