Performance Painting

Ken, the owner, and team pressure washed the entire house a week before the start of the paint job.  They also pressure washed all concrete surfaces around the house, including a 3-car driveway, sidewalks, and patio!   They removed all the old siding joint caulk and re-caulked the entire house and trim areas.  A lot of prep work and masking - very detailed workmanship.  They were also very carefull with protecting our shrubs from any damage, and cleaned up each night.  My wood deck was also prepped and stained. The deck had a lot of detail with a wood railing in the trim color, and butted against the house color in places. The crew did a great job of trimming the color edges where different colors met.
Ken was very good at communication of progress and expectations on a daily basis.
I chose a soft green house color in a satin finish, and it really shines. I often get compliments on the paint job and am asked for referrals. I am writing this review one year after the paint job and overall I am still very pleased with the work and highly recommend Ken and his team.

They did a great job. I really liked their service a lot. They came in and made the house look beautiful and fixed stuff. It's hard to say what I didn't like because they did such a great job. Their price was very reasonable.

Ken is the owner and this is his family business and he has employed some workers.They were really good. It was $ 2800 dollars per house they were extremely polite and conscientious. I had young children at the time, but they were very careful and did not leave anything outside which might be risky with the young children playing around. Everything was well kept and they cleaned up the whole place afterwards. They came and pressure washed it one day, and dried it the other day all very well planned. They were careful so nothing was damaged and carefully avoiding the areas which did not require paint. Ken takes pride in his work I had a good experience with him. Actually, Ken painted my parents interior last year and it was done exactly in the same way as they did my exterior.

We got bids from two painting companies and chose Ken Schulze of Performance Painting to paint our house. We were more than pleased with his professional, friendly consultation and efficient, prompt response to the job. He was so good about communicating when he was going to be coming and always let us know ahead of time in a very timely manner. He went above and beyond prepping. They not only power-washed the house but included the sidewalks, porches, brick chimney and foot bridge in our front yard. No detail was left undone. One could tell that Ken is very particular and wants to do a professional job and to make sure the owner is pleased with the result. We were thrilled when Ken called to say they would start painting on the Wednesday before Easter. They finished the outstanding job on Thursday. The painting was excellent. Our house never looked as good as it does now. We couldn't be more pleased with the result. We would highly recommend this company to anyone who wants a beautiful result.

Ken called me back right away and gave me a bid within 24 hours. I accepted the bid and he stayed in touch with me off and on for the next few weeks estimating when he would be able to do the job depending on the weather. As soon as there was a break in the weather he scheduled the job right for the next day. His crew was here right on time and didn't bother me at all. They were very fast and professional and cleaned up afterward. If it wasn't for the new color on the siding I wouldn't have known they were here which was great for me as I could continue with my plans for the day without interruption. We will definitely use them again when we get ready to paint our interior and redo the exterior. They are very reasonable in price and very professional.

We used Performance Painting (Snohomish) last year for exteriorhouse painting, so did not hesitate to call Ken Schultz for the interior painting job. Ken was again very prompt to respond to my call - he came next day, did the walk-thru, describing exactly what would be done, and then provided the written estimate, same day. Once the color decitions were made, I let Ken know we were ready to proceed, and they did the job the following week. The crew was the same three men who did the exterior job - Shane, Jack and Jason - and all three were very knowledgable of their jobs, professional, very responsive to questions, and were a pleasure to have on the job. The drywall repairs and textruizintg were very well done - no telltale signs visable - and all the painting was equally well done. Ken stopped by each day (4 days) to check on the progress and explain what was next, etc. Overall, they did an excellent job.

Despite some weather related problems, the team persevered and ended up delivering excellent results.

The house needed a few repairs, before some parts could be painted. The contractor that Ken recommended for those repairs also did a great job. Bob King and his son Joe (King's Home Repair) were very conscientious about the quality of their work - and were diligent in assuring that they understood exactly what we wanted. Bob even trimmed a few tree branches for us.
The two teams did a great job of coordinating with each other and showed a true commitment to high quality work.

Ken quoted the job promptly after being contacted and followed up to see if I had any questions. He provided great communication throughout the process of when the house would be pressure washed, when they would start scraping off some of the rough cedar, filling knots, caulking all joints, taping and painting. I appreciated his recommendations on paint and found his crew to be very pleasant, professional and attentive to detail when painting the house. I did not specify a dollar amount as it depends on the size of house, amount of prep needed and quality of paint selected. I also was very specific about some extra work that would be needed on our front door since it is in full sun a good part of the day. I thought the quoted price was competitively priced and couldn't be happier with the result.

Estimate was given quickly, work was completed as promised despite weather concerns. Owner was very sincere about what would be done and his time commitment guarantee. I watched a good portion of the work and was very pleased about the workmanship. The owner and crew were very pleasant to deal with and agreed to some extras at no charge. I would definitely contract with these firm in the future.

We have a 2 story house on a sloped lot. They needed some pretty serious ladders to paint the top parts of our house. Ken and his crew did a very thorough paint job in a timely manner. They picked up after themselves everyday. We're thrilled with our new paint job and would definitely hire Performance Painting again.

Ken arrived to provide the estimate same day as I contacted him. He described in detail the services to be performed, and gave me the written estimate same day. His manner was professional, and it was obvious that he was very knowledgable of products and procedures involved. The job entailed power washing both buildings, fence, patio, walkways and driveway; scraping and applying primer where necessary; sanding soffits; caulking; taping and covering all windows and plants; application of paint, stains, etc; and cleanup. Ken's 4-man crew was excellent. All worked steadily and professionally, and were always intent on doing a good job, which they certainly did. Ken stopped by several times to see if all was going well, and to answer questions I might have. (One day while we were in a "rain delay", Ken delivered some supplies. That morning my garage door had gone on the fritz, and I was unable to fix it. Ken got a couple tools and repaired the door withing a few minutes!) It was a pleasure dealing with Ken and all members of the crew.

I contacted Ken with Performance Painting to come out and give me a bid, he was not only on time but conducted himself in a very professional manner. After we agreed on a price, Ken scheduled the work to be done in the agreed time frame. Not only was it done on time, but the quality was outstanding. Ken also took care of some little extras without hesitation. He replaced my exterior lights, painted the front door, replaced new door handles on the front door ect..
