HYDRO PHYSICS PIPE INSPECTION

Able to schedule the work right away. Rick arrived early and was friendly, courteous and professional. I was able to watch him do the work and he answered all of my questions. I received a video of the scope the same day. He was reasonably priced and I would absolutely use him again.

First-time clueless home-buyer here!! 150% satisfied. I wasn't made to feel dumb, though I asked a thousand questions. He was on time (early even!) performed a sewer inspection efficiently and even when he couldn't get through the pipe, he worked very hard to navigate the block, and eventually made it all the way out to the the main sewer line. Afterwards, he walked me through exactly what he saw, used very effective metaphors to be sure I understood what he was telling me and was incredibly professional and pleasant. Reasonable recommendations, asked me to call him anytime with questions/clarifications and I was VERY comfortable with him all around. Will definitely recommend this company to everyone, especially if you are like I was, scrolling aimlessly through YELP praying you don't make a mistake. No mistakes here. And they provide a video. Awesome!

We have used Hydro Physics twice, to inspect the sewer lines for two different homes we were considering purchasing.
At the first home, Rick showed up ahead of schedule (bonus!). He told us that he drove around the block a few times to look for places in the road near manhole covers to see if there were any dips in the road that could indicate a broken connection to the sewer main. This guy's thorough! When it came time to inspect the sewer line with the scope, his first attempt was thwarted by a 90-degree angle in the access point so he couldn't get the scope through. His solution was to lift the toilet and scope from the source. :)
The second time we needed Hydro Physics, Rick was unavailable so they referred us to Clayton, who then sent out Chad to do the inspection. (We knew Chad was coming; this was not a problem or a surprise to us.) As with Rick, Chad was more than a half-hour early for the appointment. He had investigated the sewer maps, and had walked around the property while awaiting our arrival. We were having a full home inspection at the time Chad was there. A potential deal-breaking issue arose with the house inspection while Chad was setting up his gear. He told us that he would hold off until he knew we wanted to proceed. Once we gave him the go-ahead to continue, he got down to business and had a full report for us within the next half hour (along with a DVD of the scope inspection and a bag microwaveable popcorn!).
Everyone we have spoken with and worked with at Hydro Physics are professional, courteous, and downright nice. And since this was our second time using Hydro Physics, they gave us a 10% break. What's more, Chad told us that they also offer a 10% discount for military (active, inactive, retired, etc.).

Rick was punctual, and to-the-point. He described for me what he was seeing as he scoped, and how best to fix it. He prepared the report laster the same day, and sent me a link to video. Because he himself is not doing any of the proposed repais, I appreciated his balanced opinion.

He used a camera in our sewer line to see what was causing a sink hole. He identified two points of interest and gave us a name of another contractor who would be able to do the fix. We would highly recommend his services to others, he was friendly and professional.

I trusted them a lot because two neighbors referred them to me. They could tell me with accuracy what the issue was and how I could proceed. Which is not what I had gotten from previous companies.

They were easy to schedule and easy to work with on the phone. They answered right when I called, said they might have a time available that day, and called me back five minutes later to confirm.  Chad was extremely prompt, efficient, and great to work with on site.  Would not hesitate to use them again.

Needed a second opinion on a sewer line inspection. They only scope, no repairs/root removal, so no conflict of interest (i.e. they are not drumming up work for themselves). Very professional, great service, great  price. Chad spoke very professionally with our neighbor about the shared line, and offered to consult with them and their plumber about his findings. Highly recommend.

He was careful to clean up afterwards and provided a clear and concise step-by-step analysis
of the problem for whomever would actually do the sewage line replacement.    Highly recommended.

Rick arrived promptly.  We had asked that he come earlier than the appointed time if he could, and he was able to do so.  Gave our realtor a call to say he would be early.  He kept the house very clean, put down drop cloths wherever he was working, was thorough in his examination but careful in how he treated the home he was examining.  He carefully explained what he had found and gave us a bit of a lesson in how drainage to a sewer line worked in the particular hilly neighborhood we were considering.  His findings helped to save us from a costly mistake in a home purchase.

Rick comes out, puts a camera into the sewer line, and can tell you the health of the underground pipe system. He is not trying to sell you a repair so the results are just honest and you can see for yourself. Rick's professionalism and extensive knowlege is great.

They had printed out a map of our sewer system from the city showing us which neighbors were on our line and where it connected under the street which was really helpful. He also gave me some other suggestions as far as future access was concerned. Very helpful.

I was referred to Hydro-Physics by a few reputable sources and got prompt and quality service. A sewer inspection is about half what a major rooter company was charging and being independent and not someone who also does work made me a lot more confident in the results. Predictably, the estimate of damage was about 15% of what I had been told before. They were very careful to be impartial when it came to contractors, but were able to give me feedback on work they had seen by the companies I mentioned. The popcorn that accompanied the inspection DVD was a nice touch.

Rick came out the day after I called the company. He was very professional and friendly. We've been having problems with our sewer backing up and he camera scoped it. He took the time to discuss with us multiple solution options. Since sewer inspections is all he does, he was able to give an unbiased opinion on what needed to be done. I highly recommend this company.

Mike took his machine on to the roof of the house we are planning to buy. He scoped the sewer from the vent pipe to the main line connection, then traced the line in the yard and marked it for us. He was patient and thorough. In an older house, he gave us peace of mind about what we couldn't see, and what could be an expensive fix if it were broken. The CD and the popcorn were added benefits! The company only does inspections, so there is no conflict of interest about repairs. We got the straight story.

I was refered to Hydro Physics by Wu Construction after Dave Maple from Wu Construction told me that he didn't trust the scoping and report done by Rescue Rooter. Rescue Rooter had rooted our house's sewer line and recommended fixing 2 "breaks" in our sewer line - for an enormous sum. Rooting by Rescue Rooter was about $330 total, though they were very quick to come out. Fixing one "break" in our sewer line would have cost $7200, which included excavating about 6 feet deep and replacing a section of concrete walkway. After receiving the Rescue Rooter bid, we were thinking that periodic rooting would be more cost effective than letting Rescue Rooter fix the "break," and decided to get more bids. In contrast, Hydro Physics was not only quick to scope our sewer line, I was told that the root growth was not the result of a break in the line; it was growth into a seam by a poorly located rhodie (or possibly the nearby magnolia). This could be treated with a product called Root-X and infrequent rooting. In addition, there was no second break in our sewer line, just a connection with the common line. Finally, both the connection to the common line and the seam with root growth were marked so that we could find them again easily should work need to be done in the future. Seems to me that Rescue Rooter employs untrained workers, Wu Construction employs trustworthy people, and Hydro Physics employs unbiased people. Excellent. Very patient given they were asked to visit the site more than once since the site, before a plumber was called in, didn't provide proper access for a scope procedure. Very friendly service and informative.

The $200 I spent with Hydro Physics was the best investment I made this year. After being told by another sewer repair company I urgently needed to replace my "collapsing" side sewer, I hired Hydro Physics to perform and independent assessment. Rick told me my sewer was not failing, but that I did need a larger clean-out. He recommended three companies who could perform the repairs and I chose a sewer company. My experience was great. In the end, I paid approximately $4000 for all the repairs after being told by another company I would need to spend up to $20,000. I spent $200 to save $16,000. What a deal!

They are prompt, professional, and do a quality job. I would recommend them to anyone. Also they do not repair sewers - only inspect them - so they have no interest in promoting unnecessary repairs, only in providing factual information about your sewer.

It went great. They did a really good job and I was happy with what they did. They were very prompt and finished in a reasonable amount of time. The guy was super nice and competent and they ended up saving us alot of money.

They were prompt and easy to work with. They showed me what the inspection showed and explained what it meant and what I should do. Many companies will do this type of inspection, but Hydro Physics is the only one I know that is independent, they don't do side sewer repairs.
