 + -1 moreOverall the deck work is extremely mediocre. The deck surface is approximately 50x10 feet, and made of Trex. The spacing between the boards is irregular, corner mitres aren't cut accurately, cross-cuts are ragged, butt joints are sometimes snugged up to each other so that they can't expand in the heat, and some of the surface edges aren't parallel to the supporting joists. Due to the irregular spacing, the final surface board (furthest from the ledger board) has a noticeable taper to it to make sure it filled the gap, and the rip is cut very raggedly. Where rips have been made along the boards, the edges weren't rounded over to match the rest of the deck. I pointed some of these things out to the owner, and he was very dismissive and did not offer to fix it. All in all, the work is mediocre at best. If you want a quality job done, look elsewhere.
Description of Work: I re-roofed my house in 2010, and had all of the shingles delivered to the roof by a building supply company. The guy that was stacking the shingles on the roof used 2x4 cleats nailed into the roof deck to hold the bundles. Unfortunately he missed the joists with the nails, and the 2x4 was ripped out of the roof and about fifteen bundles of shingles fell two floors onto my deck, demolishing the patio furniture and damaging the deck. The deck has a toughened glass railing, and pieces of glass were broadcast over the deck and lawn. The deck surface, railing and lawn all had to be replaced, and I hired Home Pros Construction LLC to do the demo and rebuild.
