Best garden center in Seattle area!

Fabulous selection of healthy plants. I have had them home for a month and they are thriving, expert advice was right on.

Staff at Flower World were very helpful by phone, locating and setting
aside for my purchase specific plants (needed in certain color for a
wedding) before I made the trip out to Maltby. They also were very
friendly in person, setting me up with a discount card on the spot. The
check-out time was a bit long, perhaps they needed additional cashiers.
However, I would even go here just to browse around, as a
'mini-vacation' - very soothing atmosphere and beautiful grounds. And
there is a lovely little organic market nearby, that also honors Flower
World's 10% discount card.

I was blown away at the size of Flower World. It is a bit overwhelming at first. Their are literally acres of plants to chose from, indoor and outdoor. And they grow almost all of what they sell! I am big on buying local. And the fact that they GROW LOCAL (around Maltby) is even better. Talk about reducing your carbon footprint. And besides the better known Molbak's, I am not sure what other nurseries in Seattle can claim they grow their own annuals, perennials, trees, shrubs, etc. The quality is amazing and the prices are far more affordable than Molbak's (which I stopped by to compare prices with on the way to Flower World. Flower World is just about 10 minutes up the road from Molbak's). It has a great country setting.

They also let me know that fall is really the best time to plant things. So while the weather has gotten a bit chillier and wet, I am going to head back out next week to get a fruit tree for the front yard, as well as some pansies and violas (all of which THEY grow). Wow.

Flower World sells all types of plants, garden implements, and decorations. My experience with Flower World has been very good. I feel comfortable there. They recycle flower pots there. If you bring some in, they will use them again. They have a lot of great plants. It is sometimes hard to find someone to help you. I would go to them in the future.

FLOWER WORLD HAS AN AMAZING ASSORTMENT OF FLOWERS. THEY HAVE EVERYTHING FOR LANDSCAPING, FLOWERS, TREES, SHRUBS. THEY ALSO HAVE GROUNDS YOU CAN WALK THROUGH TO GET IDEAS. THEY ALSO HAVE A WONDERFUL INDOOR PLANT SELECTION.

OVERALL, FLOWER WORLD HAS A NUMBER OF VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE STAFF ON HAND TO GIVE IDEAS AND POINT YOU IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION. ALTHOUGH THEIR NURSERY CAN BE A BIT OVERWHELMING WHEN LOOKING FOR A PARTICULAR ITEM, IT DOES OFFER A PLETHORA OF WONDERFUL IDEAS AND OPTIONS FOR OUR NW LANDSCAPES. WEEKENDS SEEM TO BE OVERLY BUSY, SOMETIMES MAKING HELP A LITTLE SCARCE. HOWEVER, THE INFORMATION DESKS ARE USUALLY MANNED AND READY TO ASSIST.

WE USED A LOCAL NURSERY LAST SUMMER FOR SOME YARD IMPROVEMENTS AND GOT LOTS OF GOOD ADVICE AND TIPS FROM THE PEOPLE AT FLOWERWORLD. THEY HAVE A GREAT GUARANTEE ON THEIR PLANTS AS WELL!
