"Thank you for the kind words [Member Name Removed]. We always put family first here at Dream Turf, whether its employees or customers. The situation with your daughter getting ill outside of the US is a horrible thing to deal with. We're glad she made a full recovery."
They are very busy so we did have to deal woth a 6 week lead time for the install.
Everyone who sees it remarks on the "real" texture and look. I have a large flowering bank adjoining the turf and Rick suggested we utilize part of the yard for my many planter pots. They leveled a drain field and put down gravel to set the pots on and it has been remarkable. I SO enjoy gardening again. Our two little dogs love the turf, too. First thing, when they run outside is to lay in the sun and roll on the turf. It is so nice that their "daily deposits" are easy to find and scoop up and the turf is not affected by the urine. The antimicrobial turf is perfect for them and for us. When we "water" the lawn we are only washing away
unwanted leftovers. It is so easy to maintain.
We were told it would be into August before they had an opening to come do our yard, but our project wasn't that large and when we got a call that they could come install in June, we were delighted! Then after returning from the hospital one evening I got a message that they would be at our place 9 a.m. the following morning. I called and told them I likely wouldn't be at home because I had to be at the hospital, but we certainly didn't want to miss the earlier date opportunity. I asked if I had to be there while the job was going on, and was told that they had detailed information and could go ahead if we wanted. Thus when I got home from the hospital that evening, I couldn't see any signs that anyone had been there, so I decided they did not come.
However, when I walked through the house to the backyard slider, it took my breath away! Everything was back in place and the yard looked like something out of Home & Garden magazine. I just sat down and took it all in, absolutely amazed that they did come without me there and trusted us for the balance payment. The only disappointment was that I didn't get to watch the process while they did it. It seemed more like the garden fairies and angels got together and made it happen.
If you have considered using artificial turf, don't wait another minute to enjoy it.
Dream Turf was the best product and the Snohomish, Washington team is the best company to work with and I know you will not be disappointed in the results.
Thank you Dream Turf team... this is a good name for your company, because it was a DREAM come turf ... I mean TRUE!

"Hi [Members Name] and [Members Name], Thank you for your kind words and I'm pleased to know how much you both are enjoying your new turf. Please let us know if there is anything we can assist you with in the future. Best regards, John Davidson"
Rick came out (and remembered me and the property... big plus. ;-) and we went over where I wanted this big pee patch and what would be involved on my end for preparation to keep the cost down. There is a minimum fee for purchase and install of $1,000. The area to do had to be excavated (remove years of wood chips.. 3 cubic yards a year) for the drainage to work and the turf to be secured due to traffic. The materials they have now are superior to what they had 5 years ago.
Between the estimate and the installation, I expanded the size of the deck in that area, and that made for a change in the project. We had a few emails and phone calls and decided another visit was not necessary. This led to a misunderstanding but the workers and the management and I discussed and negotiated the day of install.
The one flaw in the process was the installation along the edges.
First: I have a concrete trench along the fence line to deter any digging under the fence. We had discussed this during the estimate. However, the 7 inch nails that are used, were not able to penetrate that barrier. I believe this should have been addressed and a solution worked out by them before install. It was not so, it is now a wait and see if what they did will actually stand up. There is a warranty so if it does not I am confident they will work it out. It and quot;looksand quot; like it will hold up.
Secondly: The area along the deck came up right away with just me checking the corner. There was even a torn area underneath that bothered me. (Yes, I am picky). This was totally unacceptable. At first they told me it wasn't possible to change! I said it had better be because I am not happy. After talking among their team, they decided to wrap the turf around a piece of treated lumber and secure it.
That correction was made a couple of weeks later and looks great. The dogs LOVE this turf, rolling on it playing on it and yes peeing on it too. There is a good layer of drainage rock underneath the turf so I simply spritz with Simple Green (when loose stool and if you own a dog you know what I am talking about) and rinse with a hose.
Overall I am very pleased. I am somewhat concerned about the edges for any of my dogs that might want to investigate the possibility of exploring just what treasure might be underneath... or God forbid... it is a perfect opportunity to bury their favorite toy or the occasional bison bone. So hopefully this is not going to be a problem and again, the warranty should cover that. I was surprised that they had not worked that issue out after years of working with this product and having seen the area to be covered.
