I will just tell you the story and I have added some pictures then, you can decide but I would never let this company on my property ever again! I was asked by relatives who were traveling overseas to be there when their house got the roof re-done, Rich, from Allways Roofing, told me it would take just 1 day and they would be there on Tuesday, September 6th. He told me this 3 weeks prior. I took the day off from work to be there, I live 55 miles away. On the morning of September 6th, a company dropped off the dumpster for the tear off pretty early. I thought the rest of the crew would come soon. About 8:00am I was wondering when they would start. At 8:13 and again at 8:34 I called and left a voicemail for Rich asking when the job would begin. I received no reply. So I waited and then again at 1:41pm I placed another call and again got VM. Finally at 3:25pm, Rich called me and explained they were running behind schedule because of the rain over the weekend and they would be sure to be there in the morning to do the complete job. I had to work on Wednesday so I drove home and at 10:46am I called Rich to see if they were working on the roof because it was raining hard and I wondered what was going on. Again, VM, but received a return call at 11:05am telling me they had done the tear off and put down new tar paper but were done for the day because of the rain. That afternoon, after work, I drove down to see the progress. Upon arriving and opening the front door, I was greeted with a puddle of water that had leaked into the house and ran to the entryway light fixture and dripped onto the hardwood entry. I called Rich at 5:13pm and again VM, received a call back from Rich at 5:28pm and explained how unhappy I was with the way the roof looked and that I had water on the hardwood entry. His response was, “Did you wipe it up?” Of course I had I told him and that I would be watching the sheetrock ceiling for any water spots. Luckily so far, no damage. He explained they had to stop because of the rain but tomorrow they would be done. I drove home again. When I arrived on Sept 8th, @ 4:05pm, the roof was not completed and they crew was gone. The gates to the fence were again left unlocked. As I walked through the gates to the deck area, I was shocked! A little history about the deck. This property belongs to my brother and sister-in-law. Just less than 3 months prior, my brother passed from a sudden heart attack. Their deck was 18 years old and rotting on the top boards so many of us in the family and friends spent time since the day he passed rebuilding the deck with new wood, new expensive paint, plus pressure washing the patio and and bricks. We had worked very hard to honor my brother to make it right for my sister-in-law. I had put the first coat down on the wood but was waiting for the final coat until the roof was done, which should have happened 2 days ago. Allways Roofing decided to clean out the gutters and blow off the roof debris using air hoses but never once thought it would be a good idea to put a tarp over the deck, patio and bricks. The patio, deck and bricks were trashed. I called Rich from Always Roofing and I did not mention the deck to him at that time because he explained to me that the roof was not completed because they had run out of shingles and that he would be dropping off the rest of the shingles in the morning and it would be completed then. I did not mention the deck at this time because I thought, well if they are not finished then I’m sure they will clean up when they are done on Friday. On Friday I drove down again but was wondering what I would find this time. As I arrived I noticed the roof was not complete, there were no workers there, there was however 3 packages of shingles waiting there and the invoice for the roof job on the front door. The deck and patio and bricks were still as trashed. Apparently Rich was able to drop off the shingles and invoice but did not take the time to inspect his job site. I should also mention that on the front left corning of the roof was a dip that appeared to maybe be rotting and I was sure Allways Roofing would have repaired it as I had mentioned it to Rich and he said they would. I don’t think Rich ever came to the job site except to give the original bid (if it was him who did the estimate?) and drop off the shingles and invoice but never looked at the dip. Instead they just put new shingles over it and did nothing. So again I called Rich. OK, I will admit that I at this point I was ******. When Rich called I was not very polite. I asked him why it was not completed, why my deck, patio and brick was trashed and why the dip was not repaired? I then demanded he come to the job site. He said he “could not that evening” but agreed to meet at 10:00am. On Saturday, Rich showed up on time and we started in the front, at this point he noticed that the shingles had not been completed and he called his crew, who had already started another job to have one of his guys come over and complete the shingles. I then took him and showed him the dip? He stated that he had not seen that dip and the crew was confused as to which dip I was talking about. When he saw the dip, he was baffled that they had shingled over it and done nothing with it. He said he would have his repair guy. He said he would have his repair guy come on Monday to fix that. I then took him to the deck. I do believe he was surprised how is crew left it trashed and said it should not be like this. I asked him, do you think it would have been a good idea to put a tarp over it? He said, they normally don’t. He said he would have a guy bring a blower out, I showed him that beside the grit of the roof and the dirt from the gutters, there was also tar marks on the patio and deck and red bricks, I told him I was going to have to again pressure wash the whole thing, a blower was not going to get it clean enough for me to do the final paint. On Monday, I came back down to see if the repair was completed. Nothing had been done and no one was there, the dip was the same and so again I called Rich, he told me that his repair guy was busy and would get to it sometime this week. He stated, “I’m doing the best I can” and proceeded to hang up on me. The repair guy did make on Tuesday and completed the repair and did a good job, so the roof job was completed finally, 1 week after it was to take 1 day, it was just unprofessionalism on the part of Always Roofing and very poor customer service! I called Rich then because I felt that there should be a discount for not only it taking 6 extra day but because of all the time I had to invest in traveling to make sure the job got done, but also because of the cleaning I had to do, I was trying for a 10% discount of $600.00, the invoice was for $6,780 approximately. He hung up on me again. So I texted him and he responded saying he might be willing to give me a $200.00 discount. In the end, we paid the whole amount because his discount was an insult and I wanted to be done with him. Of course, when he thought the invoice was not going to be paid, he threatened with a lien on the house, too **** funny. Before the owners gave him the CC number, she asked for him to have his crew come out and clean the front of the house because from the gutters there was debris on the their front bay window. She actually asked the repair guy when he was there on Tuesday to do this and he said he would but he did not so she asked Rich to do that. He said he would. On Wednesday September 21st, finally Rich contacted my niece and said there was a problem with the credit card number, recently they had just opened a new account and could only charge $1500.00 and my niece apologized for this and said she would immediately go get a money order (which she did), when would he like to pick it up and finish the cleaning of the bay window. Rich said he would come by on Friday the 23rd to do this. Rich did not show up on Friday the 23rd but did show up on Monday the 26th and insisted that he had said Monday, my niece asked him to read the text again and was speechless when he discovered the text said F
