Roof was fine but the dumpster company damaged a fence when they left the dumpster. I was promised a repair by Always and they did most of the repair but once Rich found out I had put a check in the mail for the roof I never heard or seen them again to finish the repair. Horrible way to do business and does not care about anything but money. I would not recomend. Will update if he actualy answers an email or phone or actualy comes and finishes the job. I doubt any of this will happen.

Allways Roofing installed a new roof in February 2014. In November 2018 we had a water leak, with damage in the Master Bath. The leak was fixed and Jake said it was the skylight. The skylight was replaced in March 2019. There has been no leaks from November 2018 to date. Allways has not fixed the MB damage. I now understand similar incident occurred with my neighbor. I would not recommend Allways Roofing.

It was time to replace an 18 year old cedar shake roof. (CCRs/HOA did not allow composite when the house was built but that changed years ago.) We had four different bids, Allways was very competitive, and they have done many houses in our neighborhood over the past several years. I couldn't find anyone with major complaints though occasionally someone would say they don't always get back to you right away. (I found calls and e-mails were usually answered within 24 hours, sometimes within a couple hours, and just a couple times it took a few days to get an answer to a non-urgent question.) If the weather would have cooperated it probably would have been a four day job, but because of some December frosty mornings and some wind/rain, it took just over a week including working on a Saturday. The crew was polite and friendly, cleaned the yard and driveway at the end of each day, and they seemed to work hard and efficiently. The owners/managers came to check on things every day and kept us updated on the schedule. When the work was done, the new roof and new gutters looked amazing and I would definitely recommend Allways Roofing to my friends, neighbors, and family.

I am about 12 years into a 30 year roof and I have a roof leak. These guys were recommended to me by a trusted friend who is a contractor. I called them and asked them to come out and take a look at what needed to be done to repair my roof. I gave them specifics of the problem over the phone. I needed an accurate repair estimate before approaching my insurance company. I made this clear. They showed up with an estimate based on a Google Earth Satellite image of my house. I was kind of surprised by this because I had made it clear that this was a repair job and I wondered if they'd listened to anything I'd said at all. He refused to climb up in my attic and take a look at the problem. He asked me to send him the photos my friend the contractor had taken when he climbed up in my attic and looked at it. He never responded to my emails and I called him multiple times a day for several days and he never picked up or returned my calls. I got the sense when he came over and handed me his estimate that he didn't want to do the job. I have no idea why, since they bill themselves as a roof repair company. It was all very unprofessional and wasted my time. Just know that if they act like this to avoid a job, they have the potential to act this way after they've already begun work on your house and taken money from you. Response to owners response to the review above on Yelp This business responded to my Yelp review and accused me of asking them to be dishonest and that's why he was unresponsive. The truth is that as the review states, he did not listen to what I told him when I contacted him and he did not want to take the effort to actually go into my attic and assess the problem. He showed up with a boilerplate offer and a Google Earth screenshot of my roof. I was actually very surprised that he did this and demonstrated a complete lack of comprehension of our original conversation. When he left, we had an understanding that I was looking for information before I contacted my insurance company to protect myself because I have dealt with insurers returning with low-ball offers. We had an understanding that I was to send him pictures taken by the individual who had recommended him so he wouldn't have to climb into my attic and he would respond with an adjusted estimate. He was trying to sell me an entire roof when I just needed a repair done. He does not listen and is accusing me of being dishonest without any specific evidence. This is a lie. The only reason I wrote this review in the first place is because he wasted my time. He had my business locked on my friends recommendation and he lost it do to his unwillingness to listen or do any work to give me an actual assessment of the problem.

What I like about this company is they give you a portfolio and has everything organized from the get go. He also has a material list of the supplies he is going to use and the bid. With Rich, he does things the conventional way. He is upfront. He accepts credit cards and doesn't charge if you use a credit card. He installed a very elegant looking roof. He personalizes his approach to his customers. And he gets the job done. His crew cleans up after themselves. People need to understand that he is busy because he is doing a good job. The good workers are worth the wait. I feel like this roofing experience was the best construction experience I have had so far. I tell everyone about Allways Roofing and recommend them to anyone without hesitation.

Asked Always Roofing for a proposal and to visit me at my address to discuss the various options and the work. The guy never showed up but instead just left a proposal at my door step. I emailed him back about additional questions regarding material and warranty and asked again if he could come by to discuss the job. Never got a response. I followed up again, asking if he was still interested in doing business. Again, never got a response. I don't know what kind of business practice Always Roofing applies but this isn't usual for sure. I would not trust a penny to this business with such unprofessional communication. I am glad at least that I found out before any work was done. Rather pay some extra and get a trusting business with a good record to do my roof.

I will just tell you the story and I have added some pictures then, you can decide but I would never let this company on my property ever again! I was asked by relatives who were traveling overseas to be there when their house got the roof re-done, Rich, from Allways Roofing, told me it would take just 1 day and they would be there on Tuesday, September 6th. He told me this 3 weeks prior. I took the day off from work to be there, I live 55 miles away. On the morning of September 6th, a company dropped off the dumpster for the tear off pretty early. I thought the rest of the crew would come soon. About 8:00am I was wondering when they would start. At 8:13 and again at 8:34 I called and left a voicemail for Rich asking when the job would begin. I received no reply. So I waited and then again at 1:41pm I placed another call and again got VM. Finally at 3:25pm, Rich called me and explained they were running behind schedule because of the rain over the weekend and they would be sure to be there in the morning to do the complete job. I had to work on Wednesday so I drove home and at 10:46am I called Rich to see if they were working on the roof because it was raining hard and I wondered what was going on. Again, VM, but received a return call at 11:05am telling me they had done the tear off and put down new tar paper but were done for the day because of the rain. That afternoon, after work, I drove down to see the progress. Upon arriving and opening the front door, I was greeted with a puddle of water that had leaked into the house and ran to the entryway light fixture and dripped onto the hardwood entry. I called Rich at 5:13pm and again VM, received a call back from Rich at 5:28pm and explained how unhappy I was with the way the roof looked and that I had water on the hardwood entry. His response was, “Did you wipe it up?” Of course I had I told him and that I would be watching the sheetrock ceiling for any water spots. Luckily so far, no damage. He explained they had to stop because of the rain but tomorrow they would be done. I drove home again. When I arrived on Sept 8th, @ 4:05pm, the roof was not completed and they crew was gone. The gates to the fence were again left unlocked. As I walked through the gates to the deck area, I was shocked! A little history about the deck. This property belongs to my brother and sister-in-law. Just less than 3 months prior, my brother passed from a sudden heart attack. Their deck was 18 years old and rotting on the top boards so many of us in the family and friends spent time since the day he passed rebuilding the deck with new wood, new expensive paint, plus pressure washing the patio and and bricks. We had worked very hard to honor my brother to make it right for my sister-in-law. I had put the first coat down on the wood but was waiting for the final coat until the roof was done, which should have happened 2 days ago. Allways Roofing decided to clean out the gutters and blow off the roof debris using air hoses but never once thought it would be a good idea to put a tarp over the deck, patio and bricks. The patio, deck and bricks were trashed. I called Rich from Always Roofing and I did not mention the deck to him at that time because he explained to me that the roof was not completed because they had run out of shingles and that he would be dropping off the rest of the shingles in the morning and it would be completed then. I did not mention the deck at this time because I thought, well if they are not finished then I’m sure they will clean up when they are done on Friday. On Friday I drove down again but was wondering what I would find this time. As I arrived I noticed the roof was not complete, there were no workers there, there was however 3 packages of shingles waiting there and the invoice for the roof job on the front door. The deck and patio and bricks were still as trashed. Apparently Rich was able to drop off the shingles and invoice but did not take the time to inspect his job site. I should also mention that on the front left corning of the roof was a dip that appeared to maybe be rotting and I was sure Allways Roofing would have repaired it as I had mentioned it to Rich and he said they would. I don’t think Rich ever came to the job site except to give the original bid (if it was him who did the estimate?) and drop off the shingles and invoice but never looked at the dip. Instead they just put new shingles over it and did nothing. So again I called Rich. OK, I will admit that I at this point I was ******. When Rich called I was not very polite. I asked him why it was not completed, why my deck, patio and brick was trashed and why the dip was not repaired? I then demanded he come to the job site. He said he “could not that evening” but agreed to meet at 10:00am. On Saturday, Rich showed up on time and we started in the front, at this point he noticed that the shingles had not been completed and he called his crew, who had already started another job to have one of his guys come over and complete the shingles. I then took him and showed him the dip? He stated that he had not seen that dip and the crew was confused as to which dip I was talking about. When he saw the dip, he was baffled that they had shingled over it and done nothing with it. He said he would have his repair guy. He said he would have his repair guy come on Monday to fix that. I then took him to the deck. I do believe he was surprised how is crew left it trashed and said it should not be like this. I asked him, do you think it would have been a good idea to put a tarp over it? He said, they normally don’t. He said he would have a guy bring a blower out, I showed him that beside the grit of the roof and the dirt from the gutters, there was also tar marks on the patio and deck and red bricks, I told him I was going to have to again pressure wash the whole thing, a blower was not going to get it clean enough for me to do the final paint. On Monday, I came back down to see if the repair was completed. Nothing had been done and no one was there, the dip was the same and so again I called Rich, he told me that his repair guy was busy and would get to it sometime this week. He stated, “I’m doing the best I can” and proceeded to hang up on me. The repair guy did make on Tuesday and completed the repair and did a good job, so the roof job was completed finally, 1 week after it was to take 1 day, it was just unprofessionalism on the part of Always Roofing and very poor customer service! I called Rich then because I felt that there should be a discount for not only it taking 6 extra day but because of all the time I had to invest in traveling to make sure the job got done, but also because of the cleaning I had to do, I was trying for a 10% discount of $600.00, the invoice was for $6,780 approximately. He hung up on me again. So I texted him and he responded saying he might be willing to give me a $200.00 discount. In the end, we paid the whole amount because his discount was an insult and I wanted to be done with him. Of course, when he thought the invoice was not going to be paid, he threatened with a lien on the house, too **** funny. Before the owners gave him the CC number, she asked for him to have his crew come out and clean the front of the house because from the gutters there was debris on the their front bay window. She actually asked the repair guy when he was there on Tuesday to do this and he said he would but he did not so she asked Rich to do that. He said he would. On Wednesday September 21st, finally Rich contacted my niece and said there was a problem with the credit card number, recently they had just opened a new account and could only charge $1500.00 and my niece apologized for this and said she would immediately go get a money order (which she did), when would he like to pick it up and finish the cleaning of the bay window. Rich said he would come by on Friday the 23rd to do this. Rich did not show up on Friday the 23rd but did show up on Monday the 26th and insisted that he had said Monday, my niece asked him to read the text again and was speechless when he discovered the text said F

I sent an email to Allways Roofing requesting a bid for a new architectural roof.  A few days later received a packet with a detailed proposal including alternate upgrades, product brochures, copy of his business license and insurance coverage, and a "Things to think about..." document on the roofing process.  I was able to take that information and make an informed decision on the type of product I wanted on my roof.  The packet was professional and impressed me a lot.  The other companies did not supply this.  I was already leaning towards this roofing company because a few years before they were referred to me by a friend when my roof leaked.  Richard, the owner of Allways Roofing, did not charge me anything for the repair - just asked me to keep him in mind when I was ready to reroof.  So I did.  His bids were in-line or slightly less expensive than the other two companies that I sought bids from.  However, due to the professional packet and the previous repair for no charge.  I selected Allways Roofing.

Allways Roofing removed my old roof, repaired some water damaged wood, replaced all vents and exhaust pipes, and installed the new architectural roof.  They did all this in one day.  The roof looks amazing and I'm a satisfied customer.  I have already recommended them to two of my neighbors.

After getting a home inspection that recommended I re-roof my house, I called Allways Roofing to get a quote. They had come highly recommended by the person who inspected the house, so I was hopeful that they would be a good choice for the job. Instead of scheduling to come by when I was home and available to meet them, someone from the company came by my house when I wasn't home and left a quote on my porch based, I think, on what they could see from the front of the house and satellite images.
Because they didn't include anything in the quote for replacing the old skylights, I called them back to ask if they could come back out and take a closer look and so I could discuss what I was hoping to do. We set an appointment for a Tuesday. That date came and went?they didn't show up. Because they had come with such a good recommendation I chose to give them the benefit of the doubt and left a voicemail and email asking what happened and requesting to reschedule. I never heard a peep back from either the voicemail or the email. I honestly was blown away at such an incredibly low level of professionalism?that they would blow off a prospective client not once, but three times. There's a really high likelihood that I would have given them the job, but now I think it's more appropriate to warn others to stay away.

Allways Roofing has replaced most of the roofs in our development. They did an exceptional job for us as well. Over the past year, we have talked with Rich about pricing, options (although our HOA only gave us one choice!). He ALWAYS returned calls, spent time helping us understand the pricing, and was very patient.
The workmen showed up on time, worked extremely h****** removing our 20 year old wood shingled roof. Very organized. The second crew began putting up the plywood and black paper right behind the tear off crew. Second day, the shingle crew was hard at work installing the roofing materials. The workmen were very pleasant, quiet (no blaring radios) and cleaned up after work.
They finished in two long days, right in time for the next day's rain deluge! Great timing!
The pricing was very fair, the work and customer attention was outstanding It is a local, small company who has a fine reputation in our area.
We would highly recommend this company.

Response from Allways Roofing
"I stand behind my employees. This crew has worked with me for a long time. Customer requested the job be done immediately because he had to get ready for a birthday party. I asked the guys if they would work over the weekend. Started the job on a weekend after working all week. Roofing is a very physical job and it was over 80 degrees that weekend. I never push my crew because quality and safety is more important than speed. Completed project in 3 1/2 days. I thought the financial compensation I gave them was a enough. I still stand behind my guys. We try and give all customers a great experience. Thank you, Rich"

Amazing, professional, hard working men! They only took one day off (Christmas) to be sure they got the job done in a timely manner - perfect sunshiny weather all week too! They removed my cedar shake roof and installed presidential shingle. Always cleaned up the site at the end of each day. I am a Real Estate Broker and this is my personal residence; I listed my property and sold it less than 24 hours! I will definitely be referring my clients in need of any roofing work to Allways. Thank you soooo much, Richard Omak (owner)!
