The furnace diagnostic went fine, the tech was on time and showed me what I needed to know. He put a sticker up on the furnace but forgot to write the date and what he did. The quote was a different matter, the representative was 20 minutes late. She went thru the house collecting information, left saying she'd have a quote back to us soon, but we never got one. When I called to ask about it, the representative that came by had left the company and no one had our information. What's more, no one had let us know any of this. They offered to send out another rep to do another quote, but I declined.

This company was out three times to fix work that was done incorrectly the first time. The technician didn't seem to know what the actual problem was and convinced me to replace several parts amounting to a lot of money. The issue was never fixed, he came back out and still the problem consisted then the owner came out. The issue was never resolved in the end and when I called back to inquire about solutions the customer service I was given was horrible. In the end my furnace is costing me more money than had the technician from this company was competent enough to know what and where the issue was. It seems as if it got worse and my bills have doubled.

Chris was actually ahead of schedule and he was courteous, professional and very helpful. He diagnosed the problem presented corrective action and potential estimate. He made sure I was apprised of everything he was doing. I am totally satisfied with his work. May need to work on his housekeeping skills a little;>)

Had hard time getting appointment scheduled, had to take 1/2 day off, waited and they called 30 minutes after the "window" be told running late have to reschedule....no offer to try and accommodate my work schedule and had to take another 1/2 day off. The technician arrived, was pleasant but could not figure out location on furnace of my filter? Showed him and then he came back up and said did not have correct filter... Reminded him I used this company every year and they know what size filter I need. He said he would let me know when he had one and call me back. Waited 2 weeks, called company and was told have to pay another fee if I wanted them to come out and install the filter...I explained issue and was not provided any compromise. Will be using new company - cost me a day of vacation and still never got what I had already paid for.

A challenging job due to a tight installation space, open beam ceilings, and the need to add a new electrical panel. Plus, the power went out and they had to rely on flashlights and headlamps! The entire crew was very professional, efficient, and polite (sorry, Arron, about my dog eating your lunch). Their price was very competitive and there were no hidden costs. The 3 installers and 2 electricians worked quite well as a team. The foreman (Arron) and the field rep (Tory) made sure I was aware of and involved in each step of the process. The new system works wonderfully and we like the option of just using the air handler blower to circulate the warm air from our basement wood stove. I would unequivocally recommend them to anyone needing a new heating system.

Four different service personale came out to investigate the issue, each one being more intuitive, until finally one of the owners came out to investigate and pinpoint the issue and fix the problem with the furnace. They were extremely service orientated, cost conscious, polite, and efficient professionals.

There have been on-going issues wherein they have told me verbally that it was not installed properly (person no longer works for them), it was then not serviced properly and it failed twice in below freezing weather.  The compressor had to be replaced twice because the equipment/parts were not serviced, replaced or installed properly.  During a year and a half+ of multiple service appointments, I was told each time that there was no charge due to the warranty or the service agreement.  Subsequent to the last service appointment, I received an Invoice for $2700+ and then that was revised to $1700. I called, sent letters and e-mails and received no response from the company.  They are continuing to send an Invoice or Statement and because it was backdated to start, is naturally recorded on their form as past due.  No one has called or made any effort to answer my questions or provide the copies of the service call reports that I requested.  The owners of this company and some of the employees are unprofessional and dishonest.  I strongly believe that they are using unfair and deceptive practices.  Having never said anything or even mentioned charges, it is unprofessional, unethical and wrong to attempt to create a case after the fact to get me to pay another $1200.  I have already paid $6300+ to the contractor, who paid Quality.  I don't know what was paid to them, but this unit and the service provided are not worthy of any additional funds.   I would be wary of doing any business with this company.

I have sent a complaint to the BBB in the hopes of resolving the amount in dispute.  I have also provided copies to Matthews Energy Services, and will file a report with Consumer's Checkbook, the Attorney General's Office and RePower Bainbridge (Positive Energy) if I can do that on-line.

"We were very saddened by our customer's complaint and serious charges. Our company has maintained and exceptional ethics and service record over the past 19 years of being in business. We have been recognized as an Ethics Leader by the Rotary Club and are an Accredited Member of the BBA. We have been honored as the Dealer of the year for Coleman and Daikin for the past 4 years in a row. We resolved this complaint in our customers favor, although we maintain that since the Manufacturer specifically does NOT allow labor charges for their parts only warranty we were justified in charging for the labor and material associated with the repair of her unit. In the interest of better business and in an effort to establish a more positive relationship we dismissed these charges and she agreed in writing to our resolution."

I had purchased a three year plan early in 2012 for the furnace. I recently sold my home a had only a week to comply with the inspector's request of having the furnace and gas fireplace serviced. I called Quality and they told me that I had two years left on my contract and that they would come and do both the furnace and fireplace. I would not have to pay anything since I had the two years left, they would count the fireplace as service for the furnace! Sam came after hours to do the work so that I could have receipts before the house closed today! They do great work and go out of their way to help the customer.

Alan, the technician arrived on time and proceeded with the inspection/cleaning but determined that a critical part needed for the fuel line had to be replaced. He didn't have the part and left to see if he could find it; thought it would take about an hour before he'd be back.
He wasn't able to find the part but would continue the search and someone would come out the following day to install it.
The next day, Michael, one of the company owners came out and installed the needed part, finished the inspection and fired up the furnace.
In the course of talking about my furnace with Michael, he was very informative about the age of my furnace, its current condition, and things I should watch for. I also discussed with him an ongoing challenge we have with how cold the upstairs master bedroom gets in the winter and he suggested portable radiators, which I'd never considered. Since that time I've purchased one and am delighted--we no longer need to overheat the downstairs to try to keep one upstairs bedroom comfortable.

My 16-year-old electric furnace wasn't heating and had blown a circuit. Since I'd only bought the house recently, I didn't have a service record with anyone and didn't know who to call in the area, so I looked up the service provider who'd last worked on the machine according to the service tag. Although they had a B rating here, I figured I'd give them a chance and I'm glad I did.
Initially the phone call for service was a little strange, since the clerk on the other end was new and a little unsure what to do, but we got it straightened out, her supervisor called back, and said she had a technician in the area who would be free about 1 pm. This was 11:30 am. I accidentally gave the wrong address and when I called back to correct it, everyone was very pleasant.
Sam, the tech, arrived a little past 1, had no problem finding my house, and got straight to work. Found the problem--a bad homemade repair to the circuit breaker by the previous owners of the house--and fixed it in minutes. Then he ran some tests to be sure the furnace was running correctly and not overheating or shutting down. He even helped me re-program the thermostat and change the filter while he was here. Then we talked a bit about the age and condition of the furnace and I agreed to a short-term maintenance agreement with a prepaid tune up for the furnace so I'm covered if anything else goes wrong. The cost for all services and the agreement was fair and the work was fast, neat, and well-done. Sam was pleasant but professional and even my dog liked him.
I'm very pleased and I wasn't expecting to be, to be honest. I usually have a terrible time getting people to come out to our tiny town and do work at all, much less at a decent cost and so quickly. I'll definitely be calling them again when needed.

It took them quite a while to fix their problem, then it started leaking, which they tried charging us for, and I called them up to tell them that they could not charge us for a problem created by them, and then they sorted out. Their sales person was really knowledgeable, it had a mix of qualified people and some not so qualified people. The older people were more experienced. They did solve the problem, it was just the amount of time that they took. The guy had left a vent valve slightly open and so there was a leak and they just needed to tighten the valve, for which they wanted to charge us an extra 140 Dollars. My heating is a complicated heating system and so I can't hold too much against them, but they would do a really decent job on a regular heater. They were pretty good at responding to questions and complaints on a rapid basis. The bill that they sent me really fired me up, they did sort it out, but if you didn't know about water heaters and the valves, somebody could have paid the bill.
Response from Quality Heating Electrical & AC
"Although not an excuse, we incorrectly allowed an internal billing between departments invoice go to a customer for payment and as indicated we immediately corrected it upon (member name removed) request. In all actuality the internal billing process would have led us to refunding his money had he unwittingly paid the bill instead of contacting us. We have taken steps to correct the internal process to ensure this doesn't happen again. We certainly made a mistake in billing and follow-up. Unfortunately we have had several people out for medical reasons, and vacations which led to some of the problems. Mr. and Mrs. (member name removed) were very agreeable in our delays in promptness and we thank them for their flexibility. We certainly do hope we can have the pleasure of serving them again."

From Adam providing the estimate to Greg installing the system, I was confident of their abilities, understanding of the tankless water system and customer service practices. I had interviewed and had estimates done by no less than four other companies. Quality was the last to give me an estimate because the other companies either were too expensive or didn't seem to have figured out how to vent the system and follow all building codes. They usually left with a "I'll have to do some research." Quality didn't have to do more research. I learned a lot about the system from talking to many estimators, so I knew what I wanted to hear. Quality met all the criteria I was looking for with regard to price and knowing what to do. Adam brought up issues with the well system I was on and how it worked with the tankless water heater, which I had heard from others before, but he seemed to understand what to do about it, unlike many other installers. Greg did a great job installing the system. He did not leave anything for me to clean up. He came back to tweek it a little the next day, because he had gone home and thought about how an issue he had encountered. Adam came back two weeks later to check I was happy with the system. I will most definitely use them again, as my furnace is 20 years old........

This was a very difficult job because the old furnace was in a hard to get to location.  Workers arrived early and were courteous and professional.  They were able to accomplish the job in spite of the difficult working conditions.  The job was professional and done in good order and time .  Reviewed the function of the furnace and thermostat prior to departure.  Cleaned up and left work space in good order.  About 2 weeks after installation Tory Conklin came back to confirm that everything was in working order and to thank us for doing business with them.

Our property mgr. advised us to call Quality Heating when the furnace in the home needed replacing.  They installed a new Carrier furnace (at a very fair price) which seemed to work well for 1 year, but had problems with drainage from the condensing unit, and required a service call when it stopped working in midwinter each of the subsequent years.  As the service calls accrued we asked why this repeating issue could not be solved.  We were advised that the mfr. had learned of the problem but had not contacted the distributors or installers to let them know of it.  Apart from this message from Quality we were baffled as to why, as installers, they would not have identified the issue with repeated service calls to our home, or advised us about finding a solution that would have prevented these midwinter failures. The accrual of service calls in the years following installation of the furnace put its overall cost to us in the neighborhood of $2700, much more than a new/recently installed furnace should have cost.  Eventually, we turned to another HVAC installer to resolve the problem.
I must say that while Quality Heating was not able to satisfactorily solve the problem with the furnace they were always nice at the times I called upon them, and even provided supplemental electric heaters each time the furnace failed.  As a consumer it is hard to know whether the fault rested with the furnace or its installation, but I expect the situation could be attributed to lack of oversight in both camps.

Overall I feel that the experience we had with Quality Heating was great! We would recommend them to anyone. They were very professional and we feel they gave us good solid information on what kind of heating system would work with our house. We are very happy with our heating system and have not had any problems.
