"We are certainly grateful for our customers and we can ensure that we have our customers best interest in mind when we make recommendations. We consider not only efficiency, cost, but the long term economics in making recommendations. We are pleased to hear that all is going well."
"We are so grateful to our customers that take the time to offer feedback to help us improve and remain one of leading companies. Thank-you"
There have been on-going issues wherein they have told me verbally that it was not installed properly (person no longer works for them), it was then not serviced properly and it failed twice in below freezing weather. The compressor had to be replaced twice because the equipment/parts were not serviced, replaced or installed properly. During a year and a half+ of multiple service appointments, I was told each time that there was no charge due to the warranty or the service agreement. Subsequent to the last service appointment, I received an Invoice for $2700+ and then that was revised to $1700. I called, sent letters and e-mails and received no response from the company. They are continuing to send an Invoice or Statement and because it was backdated to start, is naturally recorded on their form as past due. No one has called or made any effort to answer my questions or provide the copies of the service call reports that I requested. The owners of this company and some of the employees are unprofessional and dishonest. I strongly believe that they are using unfair and deceptive practices. Having never said anything or even mentioned charges, it is unprofessional, unethical and wrong to attempt to create a case after the fact to get me to pay another $1200. I have already paid $6300+ to the contractor, who paid Quality. I don't know what was paid to them, but this unit and the service provided are not worthy of any additional funds. I would be wary of doing any business with this company.
I have sent a complaint to the BBB in the hopes of resolving the amount in dispute. I have also provided copies to Matthews Energy Services, and will file a report with Consumer's Checkbook, the Attorney General's Office and RePower Bainbridge (Positive Energy) if I can do that on-line.
"We were very saddened by our customer's complaint and serious charges. Our company has maintained and exceptional ethics and service record over the past 19 years of being in business. We have been recognized as an Ethics Leader by the Rotary Club and are an Accredited Member of the BBA. We have been honored as the Dealer of the year for Coleman and Daikin for the past 4 years in a row. We resolved this complaint in our customers favor, although we maintain that since the Manufacturer specifically does NOT allow labor charges for their parts only warranty we were justified in charging for the labor and material associated with the repair of her unit. In the interest of better business and in an effort to establish a more positive relationship we dismissed these charges and she agreed in writing to our resolution."
"We want to thank our client for her time in reviewing us. We sure appreciate their nice words."
"We sure appreciate our customers. They make it easy to want to stay in business. Thank-you so much for your kind words. We will continue to support you however we can."
He wasn't able to find the part but would continue the search and someone would come out the following day to install it.
The next day, Michael, one of the company owners came out and installed the needed part, finished the inspection and fired up the furnace.
In the course of talking about my furnace with Michael, he was very informative about the age of my furnace, its current condition, and things I should watch for. I also discussed with him an ongoing challenge we have with how cold the upstairs master bedroom gets in the winter and he suggested portable radiators, which I'd never considered. Since that time I've purchased one and am delighted--we no longer need to overheat the downstairs to try to keep one upstairs bedroom comfortable.
"Thank-you so much for your kind words. I am so happy when I hear these nice things about our employees. Thank-you for taking the time to make this review."
Initially the phone call for service was a little strange, since the clerk on the other end was new and a little unsure what to do, but we got it straightened out, her supervisor called back, and said she had a technician in the area who would be free about 1 pm. This was 11:30 am. I accidentally gave the wrong address and when I called back to correct it, everyone was very pleasant.
Sam, the tech, arrived a little past 1, had no problem finding my house, and got straight to work. Found the problem--a bad homemade repair to the circuit breaker by the previous owners of the house--and fixed it in minutes. Then he ran some tests to be sure the furnace was running correctly and not overheating or shutting down. He even helped me re-program the thermostat and change the filter while he was here. Then we talked a bit about the age and condition of the furnace and I agreed to a short-term maintenance agreement with a prepaid tune up for the furnace so I'm covered if anything else goes wrong. The cost for all services and the agreement was fair and the work was fast, neat, and well-done. Sam was pleasant but professional and even my dog liked him.
I'm very pleased and I wasn't expecting to be, to be honest. I usually have a terrible time getting people to come out to our tiny town and do work at all, much less at a decent cost and so quickly. I'll definitely be calling them again when needed.
"Although not an excuse, we incorrectly allowed an internal billing between departments invoice go to a customer for payment and as indicated we immediately corrected it upon (member name removed) request. In all actuality the internal billing process would have led us to refunding his money had he unwittingly paid the bill instead of contacting us. We have taken steps to correct the internal process to ensure this doesn't happen again. We certainly made a mistake in billing and follow-up. Unfortunately we have had several people out for medical reasons, and vacations which led to some of the problems. Mr. and Mrs. (member name removed) were very agreeable in our delays in promptness and we thank them for their flexibility. We certainly do hope we can have the pleasure of serving them again."
I must say that while Quality Heating was not able to satisfactorily solve the problem with the furnace they were always nice at the times I called upon them, and even provided supplemental electric heaters each time the furnace failed. As a consumer it is hard to know whether the fault rested with the furnace or its installation, but I expect the situation could be attributed to lack of oversight in both camps.
"This is NOT our customer. We are a Coleman/Trane Dealer and do not install Carrier furnaces. We are located in Silverdale, Washington and do not service the Seattle area. Please remove this review from my review site."
