The original founder of the company was very good to us when he installed the system and they have done good ever since.

After we accepted their recommendation for corrections, the two person crew arrived on time at the scheduled date. The crew worked very hard until about 7:30 PM to get all the work done so heat and hot water could be restored to our home. Early on in the day, the crew showed me one internal part of the boiler that had been seriously damaged by the installer and they fixed it at no additional charge. The crew found one small part that was not working and replaced it at a reasonable charge over their original estimate. They fixed several other small issues they encountered at no additional charge. The boiler system now works great, with no more problems. I highly recommend NW Mechanical for modern condensing boilers and radiant heat - which many local heating companies have limited experience with.

We chose to pay for an emergency call and Aaron came out 5 hours later. He diagnosed the problem - plugged drain - discussed solutions and we had him install a trap. No, it wasn't cheap but in a lot of cases you get what you pay for. This is the second time we've used them and won't be the last.

We had purchased several new gas appliances and during a service call learned that our existing gas piping was under capacity for the appliances we have, so we called two piping vendors and NW mechanical gave the best advice and made the best proposal all around.  The other vendor was slightly cheaper, but they were surprised that we insisted that the work must be inspected by the city, which shocked us.
We had a planning meeting to go over our goals and make a detailed plan.  The representative, Larry made good suggestions about what we needed and adapted well to the few requirements we had (leaving certain locations clear and running piping in certain areas to maximize storage space).  The workers showed up on time each day and worked hard all day.  The work was very dirty, but they kept it all within the workspace and covered all walkways they used to keep them clean.  The new gas and radiator piping looks beautiful and well designed.  A couple tiny leaks were quickly solved with a call and free visit.
The total cost ended up under budget and less than the other vendor had proposed.
The new heating system is using dramatically less gas than the old and the temperature is more consistent and comfortable all day.  It's also almost completely silent as opposed the the jet engine in the basement sound our old header made.

We were very pleased. They are very knowledge about older homes. They do complete service on hot water boiler systems.

I have been a customer for many years and had this company perform an annual (required) check of my backflow prevention device and boiler-fired heating and DHW system. About two days after the last service call, I ran out of hot water. The boiler was running, the DHW demand icon was lit, the DHW pump was running, but the valve between the pump and the DHW tank was in the closed position. I turned it open, and the system funtioned normally. The technician had accidentally left this valve closed at the end of his tests. Because of this oversight, my DHW pump had been running continuously against a closed valve for almost 48 hours, which undoubtedly damaged it. I notified Northwest Mechanical in writing of this error, and asked them to contact me to discuss a remedy. They never responded to my letter, or subsequent phone calls. They were always happy to take in the neighborhood of $200/hr for their services, but unwilling to even acknowledge my complaint. I would strongly recommend avoiding this company.

The field technicians did an outstanding job. One note of caution is to verify the experience level of the technician with your particular home mechanical system. The efficiency and effectiveness of the office staff is absolutely terrible. They have not followed through on commitments to schedule final permit inspections or delivery warranty documentation without an abnormal amount of followup.

I was not happy to find out how poorly the original job was done, but pleased to find out that there is some way to fix it. I had asked several previous plumbers and heating contractors for help, and they had been unable to figure out the problem.

It was great service. Aaron, was both the salesman and the installer. I liked having the same person throughout. The quality was great. He was on time. The price was competitive.

Great! Our heat pump was not cooling the house. It turns our that one of the filters was completely clogged and the system had frozen. The guys from NW Mechanical cleaned out the system and got us cooled down again in no time!

Aaron from NW Mechanical came out to our house and gave us a detailed bid, which gave us a few different options to choose from. We ended up having them re-pipe all of the radiators in our house, along with installing a new boiler and hot water tank. They also put in the pipe from the gas meter to boiler. They were great to work with, came out and did the work as scheduled and got it done in a timely manner. There was one joint that was dripping slightly after they were done, but they came right out and fixed it up. All in all it was a very good experience.

Their technician was on time, acted professionally, and did good work. We definitely noticed an improvement in the performance of our radiators after the work was complete.

THEY ARE COURTEOUS, RESPECTFUL AND CAREFUL WITH ONE'S HOME -- THEY PUT A PROTECTIVE BARRIER ON THEIR SHOES WHEN THEY COME INTO THE HOUSE. I HAD SEVERAL PEOPLE COME OUT AND TALK ABOUT RADIENT HEAT AND NW MECHANICAL WAS BY FAR THE MOST KNOWLEDGEABLE AND WILLING TO WORK WITH MY FINANCIAL CONDITIONS. THEY ARE ALSO EXPERT PLUMBERS AND WILLING TO SHOW ME WAYS TO SAVE AND BE CURRENT IN TERMS OF CODE AND WATER-SAVING DEVICES. THEY WERE WILLING TO DETERMINE HOW THEY COULD INCORPORATE MY PLANS FOR A RAINWATER HARVESTING SYSTEM INTO THE NEW PLUMBING I AM PLANNING TO HAVE INSTALLED.
