We had an amazing experience with In The Light Construction for our kitchen remodel. Our kitchen was dark and outdated, but from the very beginning, Tina listened closely to our ideas and collaborated with us to bring a fresh, beautiful vision to life. She truly understood what we were looking for and delivered beyond expectations. Tina and her team were incredibly respectful, professional, and a pleasure to have in our home. They completed the project within our budget without sacrificing quality or style. We’re so grateful for their hard work and dedication—awesome people doing awesome work. Highly recommend!

These people are grifters. They do substandard work, take your money and never complete the project. They had my house tore up for over three years and it is still a mess. The waterproof barrier they put down under my floor was black garbage bags taped to the floor with blue painters tape. Toilets leak, flooring is misaligned, tile and shower door installers are incompetent and low skilled. They always have a exuse of why they can't finish the work. Don't use them.

Tina was responsive and helpful, provided a very competitive bid to rebuild a section of our fence. Her crew did not show up on the date she initially proposed for the project to start, but she was able to reschedule soon thereafter. When the crew came, they were professional and efficient and completed the job in two days. There were some cosmetic issues with the way the gate was built. We contacted Tina, and one of her team came out the next day and corrected the issue. Overall a job well done.

Very customer friendly and does excellent work. I appreciate the excellent service. They consistently showed up on time and finished the project early. I also received a follow up call making sure that everything was working fine. I would definitely use this company again and would recommend them to others.,They work in the spirit of excellence. Theyâ re a top notch company.

We had an extremely tight deadline to have certain projects completed - even with terrible icy/snowy weather, Tina made sure the work was done and came back to fix something that hadnâ t set correctly. Trustworthy, cheerful, and great work!

Jack was very thorough in removing the moss accumulation on the roof. I am very pleased with his work.

In the Light Construction in Shoreline, WA is not a professional pro. I hired them because they were recommended by HomeAdvisor. From assessing my need to finishing the job, very poor performance, I wanted my kitchen cabinets changed, they talked me into painting it, a bad job they did! They mangled two entry doors, and now I have to install entirely new doors. They disappeared in the middle of the project after getting their money and would not update or communicate. I rate them half a star. Very bad experience. Stay away from them!

What they finished they did well. Getting them to finish a project was like pulling teeth and took a lot of money and effort on my part.

Best experience we've ever had. Tina and her people were kind, courteous and helpful. I would gladly recommend her to anyone. Thank you Tina!

Tina really worked with the budget constraints I had and was quick to respond to any questions or concerns I had. Would definitely work with her again.

I needed bushes and trees cut back for my rental and they did exactly that at a reasonable price. Tina the owner is very personable, professional, reliable and her crew did what I asked of them. I was definitely satisfied!

DO NOT USE THEM!!! I have never had such a nightmare of experience ever! I would not recommend this company to anyone. Workers did not arrive on time. There was no communication that they were running late. They ended up showing up another day. Also late. They showed up at my house not wearing masks; while working inside I had to constantly remind them to put the mask back on. One of the workers had audacity to smoke on the balcony!!! The crew did not not cover my recently refinished wood floors with any sort of protection and threw tools all over it. Left a lot of scratches which really upset me. Total nightmare and took us days to clean up after the giant mess they left behind. Quality of work was terrible. Tina was suppose to install a new vanity, faucet, and medicine cabinet along with a new baseboard trim that fit the new vanity. Vanity was simple to install but Frank could not think through installing the interior shelf before putting in drainpipe making it impossible to install the shelf later. When I saw the vanity being put in place I pointed out to Frank that he needed to install the faucet before installing recessed medicine cabinet to make sure the cabinet cleared the faucet. He did not listen, cut a whole in the wall, installed the cabinet too low, and did not bother to put the mirror on cabinet. This become a major issue that led to other problems. The painting was horrendous, the missing amateur, the caulking around the reinstalled cabinet looked like high school kid did it. I finally hired someone else to finish the job.

Tina made getting everything organized a really good experience. The workers on site were very helpful and even helped us with some additional work that needed to be done. So our clients could move in.

Tina and her team are awesome, crafted, and caring folks. I had a company tell me after a 5 week wait when they showed up to do some work for us that they could not do the tile install. I needed someone that and contacted Tina. She had a team out the next day. I can't recommend them enough. This company cares and they have integrity. I will hire them again for any of our home improvement needs.

The team was prompt and able to schedule my work very quickly. The workmanship was good and the contractor was generally careful about minimizing damage while removing a built-in.

Great communication and nice team of folks who did a thorough clean and pressure wash of my fence and composite deck. Great attention to detail and they made sure I was pleased with the work at the completion of the project. Would definitely recommend!

01/17/2021 Tina and her wonderful crew saved my condo and my sanity. A terrible tenant left my rental condo in terrible shape and Tina just stepped right in and went to work. I can't even describe how professional and and reassuring she was during each phase of the work. She went far and beyond anything I could have hoped for. I would absolutely recommend Tina and her team to everyone-she was absolutely a godsend! Tina did an amazing job. Her team replaced my carpeting, put in new appliances and lighting, painted my entire condo, put up new blinds throughout and made some very necessary repairs in the bathroom. She was wonderful!

During the inspection I noticed multiple paint spillages around the work area, brush strokes, uneven areas of paint, streaks, and blemishes. I was told that someone will come and finish the job because â they never walk away from the jobâ . Multiple phone calls and emails later they finally admitted that the job was done poorly and promised to paint the walls and the ceilings again. Two weeks later they put another coat of paint, however they left multiple dried paint drippings all over the place, including our newly installed floors. In the light construction will cost you time, money and possibly your sanity. Do not waste your money. I have no idea how the company is still in business. Tina and her team rewired my kitchen to put in my new appliances. She put in new bedrock, baring wall, and surrounding wall for my new tub. Tina and her team removed the remaining hardware for the old iron stove. Then went up on the roof to cut it off and replaced part of the ceiling. Her team painted, put in new doors and new carpet. Tina and her team went above and beyond to help me with my condo. I am so grateful. Anyone who uses In The Light Construction Management are lucky to have someone who is up front on the labor and price. You will not find that with any other Construction Company.

The contractor gave an estimate of completing the project (repair of drywall, tile installation in the bathroom, and utility room floor) within one week. It has been three weeks and no single item on the worklist has been completed. There are multiple deficiencies in the work which makes us question the professionalism and capability of the contractor. The drywall repair, tile placement, and paint job are unsatisfactory. The job has rendered the house completely unlivable due to improper protection of the house. The crew would show up in the middle of the day and leave after a couple of hours. Tina Young, the owner of the company, made a myriad of excuses on why the project is delayed and had not once answered the phone (texting was her preferred way of communication). The newly installed drywalls were unleveled and non-cohesive throughout the house. The laundry room tiles were installed without proper materials and leveling clips. The tub surround wall has become recessed by half an inch which is now compromising the entire waterproofing of the existing tub around. Her crew made 3 attempts to install tiles in the bathroom and the utility room. After each unsuccessful attempt, the tiles had to be ripped off. Tina refused to remediate the situation or to offer a refund. We hired an independent contractor to assess the situation: I have never seen anything like that in 28 years, what a terrible job, I think it is their first job. In the Light Construction Management LLC was fired. A lawsuit is pending.
