My name is Tamara Bean and I'm the proud owner of Fetch! Pet Care of Seattle North. I'm a Native Seattlelite, born and raised, and feel honored to call it home. I bought my franchise in April 2007 after spending 8 years in the financial industry. When I left the industry in 2006, I didn't know what I wanted to do and didn't even have a job lined up, but the one thing I knew for sure is that I wanted to spend the rest of my life doing something that made me smile. At age 36, I decided that joining Fetch was the right decision for me and was excited to be a part of such an amazing industry. I am of course, a pet parent myself, and yes my dogs are definitely family. Sadie, my Yellow Labrador, is obsessed with food and chasing balls - typical lab activities! Cooper, our blind Pug is a total character who loves to snuggle, but also enjoys a good game of tug-of-war. I'm sometimes asked why I chose a Franchise. The most important reason for me when making that decision was the extra peace of mind and high service standard requirements that my clients are guaranteed to receive, while still being able to remain a local small business in my hometown. We have three rabbits and a cat (who thinks he is a rabbit). We've used Fetch! several times, with a total of two pet sitters--Becky and Hannah--and both have been great. We probably overwhelm them with all the details of how we take care of our dear companions, but they are patient and genuinely care about the animals. Our "kids" seem to do just fine when we're away thanks to them. And they bring in packages (even big boxes of hay) and are responsive by email/phone while we're gone. We're very happy with their services.
In meeting with Jen before I hired her, I almost immediately connected with her. I could tell she likes animals. I have an agressive cat who loves attention and she fell right into step with his desires.
This was the second time we had used Fetch! Pet Care's services. Jessica was the pet-sitter that cared for our pets on this weekend and in the fall of 2013. We paid $160 for four 45 minute visits during which Jessica freshened up cages, refilled water bottles, and fed our animals their pellets, hay and vegetables. She also gave one of our special needs guinea pigs his medication. In addition to the pet care, she took our trash cans to the curb and brought in the mail. During each visit, Jessica sent a text with photos of the pets and notes about the visit so we were able to enjoy our trip with the knowledge our animals were well taken care of at home. She did a great job with all of her responsibilities and we will definitely hire her again for our future short trips.
