Barnett Tree Care / Top of the Line Tree Service

About us

We are a small company (3-5 employees) providing personal service. The owner is present on most jobs. He is a veteran in the industry, with 35 years experience, which benefits both the client and his crew as they always have hands on training available. We do utilize some sub contractors, for stump grinding and crane assisted work. We are experts at handling difficult or challenging projects, regardless of the size, from a technical hazard or storm related job, tas well as the smallest pruning job, including fine work like Oriental style pruning of pines or other small artistic work. We strive to recycle most all products, from chips to wood. Some goes to firewood or waste, but much is sold for lumber or is turned into furniture or bowls. See www.slabart.com

Roger and crew arrived on time and went right up the tree to secure his ropes.  The tree was in the corner of the lot with a fence on two sides so the branches had to be lowered manually to prevent damage.  The job went quickly and there was not damage to any property.  All the branches were chipped and the area cleaned up before leaving.

Roger was responsive and always returned my calls promptly.  My adjoining neighbors share a yard easement with me and a large tree that I asked Roger to remove was right outside of a fence/property stake; in the city's right away/partially in our property.  Thought the neighbors felt that the tree was in the yard easement area they created a very difficult environment for Roger and his crew to work with.  They yelled at him, threaten to call the police and even though the property is owned by me not by them.  I explained this to Roger before the work was done and he made sure and explained to me that because the tree was more than 90% on the CRW it is the responsibility of the owner of the property to handle tree and shrubbery to not outgrown onto the sidewalk/street.  This tree did just that, the branches were so large and heavy it would overhang and cover the sidewalk and part of the street.  Roger clarified with the city arborist of our situation and got the ok before proceeding to remove the tree.    The tree was outside of a fence area more on the city right away then the easement.  Despite the difficulty of our neighbors and their threats Roger and his crew were still very professional with how they handled the situation and got the work done timely, promptly, and professionally.    I will use Barnett Tree care for sure in the future.

Roger has always done a fine job, but most recently, he really came to my rescue.  I have a very large and lovely laceleaf maple that lives between my house and that of my neighbors and has been there for the better part of 30 years.  One morning recently my neighbor informed me that a truck was coming to pour concrete for their new driveway in less than an hour, and that I needed to prune their side of the laceleaf before then.  In a panic I called Roger, and 20 minutes later he arrived, crawled under the tree, and efficiently took care of what needed to be done.

THEY WERE ADEPT AT THE SERVICE THEY GAVE, THINNING THE TREES TO GET MORE LIGHT IN THE BACKYARD. THE ONLY ISSUE IS THAT THEIR ADVISE WASN'T THE BEST. IT IS NOT HEALTHY FOR TREES TO BE 'LOLIPOPPED' - THEY BECOME DANGEROUS DURING STORMS.
