 + -1 moreI found Ben to be exremely helpful from the start, not just with his product knowledge but in his eagerness to help us meet our needs at the lowest cost. We had to work with him remotely as we live 3,000 miles from the site but he sent pictures of what he was going to do and (many) more pictures when he was done. He was up at the site the first non-rainy day after we spoke to work out what the best approach was and came back with his recommendations and quote that evening. The next day he poured the concrete and placed the posts as well as doing all the earth and stump moving. Within a week the project was finished - on time and on budget. I have rarely if ever had a more pleasant service experience, even when working face to face.
Description of Work: They built and installed a 16' wide single leaf steel swinging gate at the entrance of the remote rural property we have purchased to retire to. Before we bought it, the property had been used as the location of a portable meth lab and we wanted to make sure this would not happen again. Ben Fraser advised us as to what would be the best solution. We were thinking of putting a double-leaf gate at the front and a single leaf at the back which would have cost almost $7000. Instead, he advised us to dig a ditch and fill it with tree stumps at the back and put a single-leaf at the front. He did all the work and it only cost us $3000. The gate is made from 1/4" steel and both posts are set in a yard of concrete. The finished product is painted in a hard coat and has an embedded padlock which makes it virtually impossible for anyone to get it open without the key.
