we also noticed the ceiling light in the bathroom was buzzing and giving off erratic lighting the same night. We left a message on
his answering machine, but did not get a return call for almost a month! We made several more calls during that month, but received no response! Finally his wife called and said he had been sick, and would be better in a few days and would be able to come back. Sorry if he was really sick, but why not call his customers when he first became ill instead of leaving them hanging?
We did not want to pay another 95.00 to another electrician for a service call to fix his job! This was the time of year when we
really needed the light as it was becoming dark so early in the evening. We still have several lighting jobs to finish in our house,
.but are not calling this guy to do them. He did finally come over and finished the repair.
I washed windows and got the outside outlet wet. Could not open garage door, some lights out. Breaker continued to trip after waiting and resetting.
A bit high priced . On the positive side, he was same day responsive, polite, punctual. Everything took 1/2 hour.
I found out I needed to baby sit this contractor.
His quotes were incomplete and lacking in detail which made it difficult to compare the work he did with the proposal
- He relocated an overhead fixture but didn't center it as I requested. When I complained to the general contractor I was told I was supposed to have precisely marked where I wanted the fixture to go. However, I wasn't told so prior to him relocating the fixture or I would have done so.
He didn't show up when he said he would and didn't call to let us know, or he would show up late--again without calling to inform us of any delay.
He stretched a relatively minor job out over a three week period, delaying us in other areas.
His installations were often incomplete or sloppy. I tightened an light bar myself and centered switches so the plates would align straight.
He left messes behind--packaging and insulation material from the ceiling
He was non-communicative. I would have appreciated knowing some things could not be done according to my wishes before the installation.
On a positive note: I had heard this contractor is well regarded and that maybe he was distracted with personal issues during the holidays. He was very nice to work with in personality and I liked him as a person. I just would not use him again on any job at our home.
