The whole deck/porch needed to be replaced due to structural problems. I decided to upgrade with TREX to eliminate future maintenance problems. Joseph showed up on time every day, pointed out issues he encountered, and finished in a timely fashion.

The best craftsmanship we’ve ever had. Not one drop of caulk used. Mr. Kelly is very knowledgeable in technique and application. Precise and expert wood cutting, cabinet door remodeling, and advice, choice of grout at the ready, and expert installation of backsplash. On time, also does one job at a time, finishes on time. Very affordable prices. A pleasure to work with. Highly recommend Mr. Kelly.

Joe and his partner Frank were one of three bidders. we selected them based on the level of detail in their proposal, reasonable cost, and simply a good feeling we got about them.  We worked closely with them on various design issues; they had good ideas about many things, which was helpful to us.  They came on time every day, worked hard, and did high quality work. They are both very experienced and talented. We found them to be honest, sincere, reliable, and enjoyable. It took a bit longer than we (and they) had originally anticipated, but that is not a surprise in a remodel of the scale we were doing. They were very good about finding solutions to problems that popped up from time to time as a result of the surprises that older houses provide. They also helped manage the cost and avoid waste by taking the old kitchen cabinets, refurbishing them, and installing them in the laundry room, that lacked cabinet space. We would use them again without hesitation.

After getting and reviewing three estimates, from three contractors for remodeling our bathroom, we selected Joseph Kelly, owner of Goods Works Construction. His estimate was the most complete and clearly written estimate of the
three. His estimate left no part of the project in question. From the demolition, disposal of debris, purchasing of materials to completed remodel including labor costs were all covered in the estimate. We sat down and discussed the entire remodeling details that included estimate for how many actual calendar days to complete the work. Joseph also explained potential items that might cause changes to the estimate due to hidden problems that may alter the estimate.
We set the start date and the complete remodel was completed as agreed—time, cost, and quality. The subfloor in the walk-in closet required additional materials and labor over and above the estimate. Because Joseph had explained that potential problems may not be evident until demolition was complete, I was aware that potential hidden issues may arise. As soon as he identified the issue with the sub-floor, he consulted with us, showing us the problem along with options and estimated additional cost for correcting the problem.
Throughout the entire remodel, Joseph offered options for the placement items such as the shower handle, shower head, shelf placement, tile layout, etc. Because of his effort at guiding us through the entire remodel, we were extremely pleased with every aspect of the remodel. Based on our experience, Good Works Construction is a top notch contractor that I feel confident in recommending to others for construction needs.

He has done work on our house before and did a great job. He completely remodeled our kitchen. I can't say enough good things about him.

The experience was wonderful. I tend to be apprehensive about having people I don't know do work for me. One never knows how it will go. Having seen Good Works Construction on Angie's List, I called the owner Joseph Kelly. He came to talk about the work I wanted done and delivered a proposal of supplies and prices within the next couple of days. When he started the job, he and his helper were hard at work from 9am to 5pm. Joseph is a complete professional! All went really well. I also asked if he could do more to the deck (adding railing) and he said sure... Due to weather issues, he is due back to complete the job. It couldn't have gone any better for me. Thank you to Good Work Construction and Joseph Kelly. I will definitely call him back for more jobs.

It continues to go very well and he is the only contractor I use on the house despite having had several others do some work when Joe wasn't available. Now I just wait until Joe can do the job.
