David's Appliance Service

I'm not happy with David's Appliance Service in Sequim WA. I have an older upright freezer in my garage that I purchased used years ago for $150. It really worked great then suddenly quit. I called David's and explained what happened and that it was an older freezer. I was told the charge would be $80 which would include one hour of his time trying to fix it. David came, looked at the freezer for 5 minutes with no tools whatsoever and stated it had a refrigerant leak and that the refrigerant was too expensive for me... Some $900 a cylinder!!!! For this he charged me close to $90 with tax! 5 minutes of his time and using no tools! He should have warned me about this prior to accepting the job! I would have paid him a fair $40 for his time, but he insisted of ripping me off charging the full $80! He knew very well right from the start he could not fix my freezer and why he took out no tools. Beware this guy! Get his pricing up front, even if he spends only 5 minutes!

Dave arrived in a timely manner. Got right to work pulling out machine, diagnosing problem. Put in a replacement part and he was done. Timely, efficient, knowledgeable and personable. Who could ask for more? He will be my go to person for any appliance problems in the future.

He asked me to check the rubber gasket surrounding the door for rips. While doing that I found my engagement ring which I had been anxiously looking for for five days! I told him what I had found and how excited I was to have found it and asked if he could possibly come over the same day. My wedding band was also missing. David said he would make every effort to come and he did! The best part was he found my wedding ring and it was no easy task. He went the "extra mile" and I am so grateful to him and Angie's List. David also looked at my dishwasher - one of the dish drawers was not working. He quickly showed me the problem and it works again!

So David: fixed the issue with my clothes washer; recovered my lost wedding rings; and repaired my dishwasher drawer all in one fell swoop!!! Marvelous- will recommend him to all my friends

Our freezer was not working and under warantee and when we called to have it repaired we were given a date two weeks later. We asked for other repairmen and were given David's name and number. He walked us through the process to have him authorized under the warrantee, came out the next day and fixed it within a matter of minutes. He was very professional, explained what was wrong and we were very happy with his service. We would certainly use him again. We referred him to a friend and he solved her problem too quickly and inexpensively.

David is very polite and gets right to work. He charged by every 15 minutes he was here. Very versatile workman and good to have in the community.

David cleaned out the dryer which tends to clog up with lint, so I have him clean it yearly.
He then tested the oven and found it preheated to the proper temperature, but couldn't determine why it was cooking unevenly. He suggested preheating for an hour before putting anything in to cook.
David is prompt, courteous and knowledgeable.

Our washer decided to give up the ghost (as the worst possible time of course). Dave came, looked it over, pronounced it dead and needed to be replace. We had him look over the dryer just to be sure it was OK. He found and fixed some minor problems. He worked quickly and efficiently, and his prices were very reasonable.
