Frances has claimed bankruptcy. At least this was his claim to us. It seems he didn't want to fix the many mistakes he has made here in our home. His company built this home we purchased in September 2017. At first, Frances was helpful and made promises to come back and resolve the nine (9) issues we had. He made a minimal effort to try to repair a couple of items. Then, his employees began to complain of no pay. Frances then complained to me that he was losing money(?) Frances then began to make excuses as to why he couldn't make it to our home, citing problems at other job sites. At one point he told me that he had all the tools and parts lined up to finish our job. Then he failed to show or answer calls. I finally got a hold of him and he tells me he filed bankruptcy, but according to his LinkedIn and Facebook profiles, this appears to be a complete lie as he is still building homes. He talks a lot about God and going to church as well. Seems like a smoke-screen to me.

"I repaired water damage to a four level building with tenants on each floor that had major water damage from a frozen pipe in the attic. We demo'd each floor, mitigated the water &dried everything. We worked with the insurance company & were instructed to proceed with there budget to renovate & restore. In 10 days and nights, including weekends, we were able to have the units back to the tenants & let them have Christmas in there homes. This customer canceled the check the moment we finished, on Christmas Eve. When I spoke with the insurance company, they apologized but all the money had gone to the customer. We responded quickly and efficiently to stop the water & clean up. We worked with the insurance company & the City of Seattle to get everything restored for the tenants. My hats off to my employees & subs that worked to help her tenants. In the end this customer soaked me & left me to pay for the work. I tried to collect through legal channels and in depositions she admitted to making money on the project. The same amount that was to be paid to me. I had to stop because I didn't have the money she did to continue the lawsuit & now she writes this."

Once again, Francis and his crew have done a great job for us. After completing the remodel of our new house, they did some work to fix up our old house so we could rent it out. They repaired some holes in walls that were left over from a previous remodel. They fixed two sinks that were in need of repair. They investigated and repaired some electrical problems. And they installed some new light fixtures and also new vinyl flooring in the two bathrooms and the large living room. Francis was able to advise us on a few safety issues we needed to take care of for new tenants. We were on a very limited budget, and Francis did all he could to work with us and keep the cost down to what we could afford. The job was done quickly and efficiently, so that we could get the house up for rent.

Our experience with Ultrarock Builders has been excellent. Francis listens to your ideas and then either makes it happen or explains why he can't and suggests an alternative. He keeps you apprised of every step and asks for input when it's needed. His prices are reasonable and fair. (Of course, most of the extra things you invariably end up asking for add to the cost, but that's a decision you have to make.) His crew is polite, professional and careful. It may be unusual to finish up a remodeling project and consider the contractor a personal friend, but that's what has happened in this case. We felt that Francis and his crew were on our team!
