Tierra Landscapes

Tierra Landscapes was not our first landscape contractor and we were impressed by the responsiveness, thoroughness, and professionalism that Walter and his team showed.  Walter fielded all our questions and responded to our emails promptly; he also made three (I think) site visits in a relatively short span of time.  From start to finish the project only took about a week (we weren't in a rush, but the speed was appreciated) including the time to wrangle some unexpected underground challenges.  Rather than using the challenge as an opportunity for delay, Walter's team devised and communicated a cost-effective solution that he was able to implement immediately.  I initially thought the estimate was on the high side, but through their work it became clear that significantly more effort was required than I had appreciated and I could see the value in the work performed.  To take one example that sets Tierra Landscapes apart: I casually remarked on the second site walk that a previous contractor (in a separate part of the yard) had not installed several flagstones and had left a water-logged gap between stone risers and the wooden stairs beyond.  The next day, without prompting and outside the scope of the work order, the gap was filled, and the flagstones laid on a stable bed of gravel precisely as I had envisioned it.  I would recommend this company and would go back to them for additional work in the future.

My wife and I were very happy with the work they did. Our yard was fence-to-fence dandelions moss, and crab grass And it was uneven and poorly graded. They asked us what we wanted to spend on the project and came back with a plan for a nice usable yard with a patio. As the project progressed, they responded quickly to the changes and expansions we made with reasonable pricing. We really liked the patio and wanted it expanded; found a drywell in the back yard that needed to be filled in; decided to have gravel added to the side of the house to make a clean simple path to the back yard; and had them seal the patio stone.
We were not on a strict timeline - the summer was ending and we knew we'd have to stay off the newly seeded lawn anyway. But they stayed pretty close to the anticipated finish date.
The workers were hard working, friendly, and professional making sure the work site was reasonably clean by the end of each day. Communication with the owner was easy and clear. He had good suggestions and was open to small changes even when it meant additional labor. He was available for questions and happy to explain things and review the progress and direction of the project.

We're thrilled and can't wait to have people over next summer to use the patio while the kids play on the lawn. Thanks Tierra!

It was great. They are through. They do nice job. They clean up afterwards. I am satisfied with their whole service. I would recommend them.

It was a good experience. The price was very good. It is a one-man business. The owner got two workers but he also worked with them. I wanted to put bamboo in the yard but he has not called me back regarding it though he agreed to do it.
