They did an excellent job of troubleshooting the various issues the car was having.
They explained everything that needed to be done.  They explained what had to be done in order to make it roadworthy.  (It had been sitting for a while.)  They explained what would be necessary to get the AC running again.  They explained what the tradeoffs were for doing the AC work and some other work now, both financially and from a risk point of view, while they were in fixing the mandatory issues.
And, they never made me feel stupid about the process.  (I'm female; many mechanics flunk this test.  They passed it with flying colors!)
My MINI will never go anyplace else.

I have been going to Import Doctors for a couple of years now. They are always honest and I have never felt as if they were trying to charge me needlessly for services. Even though the transmission service was not done correctly, they worked very hard to rectify the situation and make me happy. The owner of the company even came to my home and cleaned up the fluid that had leaked all over my garage. I recommend them all of the time and will continue going back.

I have been going to Import Doctors for over four years with both my 2002 VW Eurovan Weekender and my 1997 Subaru Legacy. They always call with a diagnosis and estimate before proceeding with any repair work. They prices are always reasonable and fair. I have never, ever wondering if they were being honest with me; they make very effort to explain and show me the problems. They always treat me with respect and I never leave with questions. Whenever there have been times that an issue reappears (electrical issues with the Weekender camping equipment always pop up) they offer any readjustments for free. They often discount their services and sell parts for cost with big jobs.
Because of a move it is now quite inconvenient for me to take my vehicles to this location, but in all the years I have owned cars, I have never been so confident in a shop as I am with this one. I just can't risk going anywhere else.

After replacing the lug nuts and putting on the spare the mechanic called around to get a quote on new tires for me.
These are my guys. I have been going to them through 2 cars and over 12 years. They are good at helping you keep an older car running. I have recommended multiple customers to them over the years and everyone is happy.

They are reliable, the prices are fair, and they stand behind their work. They are a small company that exhibits excellent service. They are a great company to work with!

They were able to get it repaired.

The oil change went great. They even gave me a discount for being an Amazon employee and working in their neighborhood. I rate them just a bit lower due to the interaction with the bolts. I explained what I needed, they seemed to understand. The following week, I wen to pick up the bolts and they were the wrong kind. At that time, they called their supply guy, and described it to him. The supply guy faxed over printouts of the seat from a parts manual. Using those, I was able to identify a model number of the bolts. The following week I went back to pick them up, and they were the right ones. They would have saved me time by doing the print out thing at the get go. Overall, they are very friendly, easy going, and easy to work with. I'd highly recommend them.

You get to talk to the person actually working on the car, not a supervisor, so it's a little less of a distancing process.

He was fabulous. We always took our kids cars there and he was great. My son had his brakes and everything done on his car. He has always been reasonable, thorough and if something went wrong he would have it fixed at no extra cost.

They are very efficient. Their prices are comparable to others. I will definitely continue to use them in the future and would recommend them to others.

I started taking my car to the Import Doctors when I lived in Belltown, and continue to use them whenever possible. For this work, the clutch was replaced in a day, and Jim replaced a leaking oil switch that was causing some grief. They have always always been very honest and trustworthy. When I was experiencing random engine failures a few years ago, another local shop wanted to charge me $800 to first change all the filters, spark plugs, wires, and fluids just to get the car up to their baseline. The Import Doctors quickly identified a failing coil as the likely culprit, but were reluctant to replace a $400 part until we could get the failure to repeat.

He does the job at a little more affordable price and he doesn't charge a lot of extras like a dealership would. It is a one man shop for now.
