Not good, The cables were initially coiled and stacked in plain view. When I asked for the cables to be placed out of sight, Steven Dever returned and charged me more money to perform work that should have been accomplished during initial visit. Steven Dever never completed the job. Mr Dever left cables unattached to components. When I called Mr Dever to please complete the job or describe to me How I could finish the job, he never responded to my calls (X2)

I have a very good experience with The Correct Connection. The interaction was excellent. The owner's degree of professionalism and general knowledge about complex systems made it excellent.

They were very knowledgeable and came back quickly for fine-tuning some tweaks that needed to be done. They also insured we knew how to work the equipment.

The installer ended up taking the access fab to my apartment. These were the keys to my apartment and I could not end up getting them back. I had to leave a dozen messages to get to finally get a response. This was very unprofessional. I actually had to drive to meet up with the guy to get them back.

This company was recommended to me by the manager of Bellevue Video Only, John, who sold me the equipment. He estimated the install would run about 3-4 hours, and the cost estimate was $500 to $600. After researching several other installers, I called The Correct Connection. The cost estimate was confirmed by Karen, the scheduler for the Correct Connection, when I made the appointment. I was told to expect a two-man crew. The first installer, Tony, arrived about an hour late. I had been notified of the delay. The second installer, Steven, the owner of the company, arrived about two hours later. I had taken time off work to be there for the entire install, but had to leave at four hours. At that time, Steven said they were about done and would leave the invoice for me. I received a call from Tony FIVE hours after I had left, saying he was just finishing up and that Steven had left earlier to go to another job. He reviewed the invoice as to the cables and such for which I was being charged (as expected). I was so stunned that he was still on the job, I didn't ask why it had taken so long or what the total was. When I did arrive home and saw the invoice, I almost had a heart attack. The charge was over twice as much as expected, over $1300. I was charged for a total of 8.5 hours for labor. Although the work seemed good, there were extra holes drilled in a couple places, and there was no operating literature left for the universal remote. Also, the CD play had not been connected to the system. I called John the following day, asking why I was being charged for so many hours. He briefly said that it took that long to rewire a couple places. I told him I could not afford to pay that amount, but would send in $500. I told him the CD play was not connect, and he said he'd have someone out to do that, but I haven't heard about that yet. On Thursday, 6/11, I send in the partial payment with a letter detailing my questions about the hours charged and why I didn't have a two man crew for the whole install. I am waiting for a replay.

A representative named Malcom came out and hooked up our flat screen and 5 components plus speakers. Everything had to be connected correctly before the panel could be mounted to an immobile entertainment center. I was impressed at first, because the company sent him out the very next day and he seemed to really know what he was doing. He got everything up and running, although it took longer than I expected, a couple of hours. We agreed to let him sell us a speaker we needed. I also let him talk us into a new receiver because he felt ours was borderline. However, when selling the new receiver, his main points were that it was HDMI ready, Blueray ready and that we would be able to drive everything from one remote. It's not true though about the remote. He sat on the couch and tried to figure the remote out for a while and then gave up. It isn't compatible with our cable box. You can't enter a channel and go right to where you want to go. It jumps to a bizarre channel every time. And it doesn't recognize any of the DVR functions. This is what we use our remote for 90% of the time but he never asked. I felt a little disappointed, though we've adapted to using two remotes just fine. Then, I called Malcolm back a week later because the whole system hums. He took my call but wanted me to move some cables around. I tried that and called back but it only rang once and then went straight to voice mail. I left a message asking him to come fix it but he never returned my call. I thought the blow-off was unprofessional and didn't leave me with a good impression. I finally got a hold of him and he was very nice on the phone. Said he would come out in three days and help us with hum, the cord between the TV and the receiver (which we've discovered is too short - it pulls out every time we have to move the box) and the iPod adapter which Malcolm installed but isn't working. He blew me off! Never showed and did not respond to the message I left for him. UPDATE: Two employees did finally come resolve our relatively simple issues, after I left a third voicemail that let them know I was an Angie's List member and that I would be submitting a report.

"AS MUCH AS I TELL OUR TECHS NOT TO LEAVE THEIR PERSONAL PHONE NUMBERS WITH THE CLIENTS THEY DO ANYWAY. THE REASON I TELL THEM NOT TO LEAVE THEIR NUMBER IS BECAUSE THEY DON'T FOLLOW THROUGH UNLESS I KNOW ABOUT THE PHONE CALL TOO. WE APPRECIATE THE BUSINESS WE GET OFF ANGIE'S LIST AND I TRY TO SEND A TECH TO THEIR MEMBERS ASAP. I PERSONALLY TOOK CARE OF THIS MEMBER WHEN THEY FINALLY CALLED THE OFFICE LINE. OUR TECHS HEARTS ARE IN THE RIGHT PLACE, BUT THEIR PHONES ARE NOT. WE OFFER UNIVERSAL REMOTE CONTROLS THAT WILL DO ALMOST EVERYTHING - IF YOU PURCHASE ONE FROM US WE WILL PROGRAM THE BASICS GRATIS. THANK YOU FOR CHOOSING THE CORRECT CONNECTION."

The people at retail store did not give me any specifics on what type of mount to get or even look for so they upsold me. Really I could have bought a cheaper one. Moreover, the tech was extremely condescending. It ended up being a frustrating rather than professional encounter. It was tough to get them to return my calls, to get them out her,e and he was an hour late for our appointment.

They were a little late, but it wasn't a problem. The workers were nice, friendly, and professional. They finished the job in approximately 30 minutes. They also cleaned up after themselves. I was very happy with how it went.
