The service and personnel were excellent.

I was very happy with the work. The driveway has held up very well and I have gotten alot of compliments from my neighbors on how nice the driveway looks. They were very professional and polite.

All A's!! Managed cumbersome permitting process, and completed all work in a timely fashion.  Even though this was a small job the business owner arrived toward the end of the project, and provide some important finishing touches.  A hard rainfall the day after the install proved that the grading, the drainage and the overall quality was excellent.

We used Superior Asphalt to replace an old, cracked driveway and driveway drain. Their initial estimate was high compared to other companies. I was impressed by the estimator's attention to detail, and we were able to negotiate a price more in line with other bids we had received. We then set a date to have the work performed.
The morning of the job arrived, and we were expecting a crew in the morning. By 10 AM no one had arrived, and we had not been contacted. I called the office and did get a call back promptly, letting me know the crew was delayed due to inspection on another job. They finally did arrive in the early afternoon. They got to work quickly and got the job done before the end of the day. We are pleased with the results. Although the crew was clearly hustling to get the work done, they paid close attention to the quality of their work. We were consulted on details as they went along, so there were no surprises at the end.  We will have a sealing coat applied during warmer weather.
The only negative aspects of the job were
1. We should have been informed of the delay. I understand that sometimes delays are unavoidable. However, someone on the crew or in the office could easily have called us to let us know the situation. We had no idea whether there was simply a delay or if we had been forgotten. I have downgraded my rating on punctuality for this reason.
2. Someone on the crew put trash from the job into a bin that was clearly  marked" recycling".

Work was accomplished by two separate crews. Both very good and went about their work in a professional manner.

We had 3 neighbors sharing a private driveway that was in disrepair with multiple patched up jobs and very uneven surface. We were debating whether to resurface the existing pavement (cheaper) or remove the old asphalt, resurface with crushed rock and repave. I contact 5 different companies, 2 never responded with quotes. I had three give me quotes for removing and repaving versus just paving over top. For two companies, their quotes were nearly twice as much to remove and replace. Superior Asphalt said they highly recommended completely removing the old surface because otherwise we would have to repave again in a few years. So they only quoted for complete removal and replacing. Their quote was only slight highly than the other 2 companies bid just to repave over the old.
The owner, Steve Desmone, was very professional and on time with his quotes and scheduling the work. He has a very experienced crew and they were very quick to do the work in two work sessions - one to remove the existing and put down crushed rock. Then two weeks later to add the new asphalt. The 4 inches of crushed rock provided an amazingly level, hard surface that we could drive on. When they added the asphalt, Steve was very careful to adjust the surface so the water runoff flowed off to the right areas. His work crew was very polite and consulted us several times to make on the spot adjustments and improvements.
The final results are beautiful. I had many contractors (working on other remodeling projects) comment on how good the paving looks.

Our existing driveway was 37 years old and though maintained was crumbling and cracking. Superior Asphalt Maintence came and gave me an estimate with several options and suggestions. They were patient with my repeat emails with questions and came by the week prior to doing the job to ensure all was ready. They arrived on time the day expected and worked very hard. There were several areas where the slope was critical to prevent water issues. They more than exceeded my expectations with attention to small details, cutting my sidewalk where I asked (a new idea half way thru the job) leveling the access road and spreading some gravel leading up to my driveway. I was going to contact Bruno the estimator because I was so pleased with the foreman on the job and the crew only to find out the foreman was Steve the company owner. He worked right next to the crew, working just as hard while overseeing the workmanship and giving direction. Everything went efficiently and I would highly recommend them. They are trustworthy and honest.

We had a parking area that had some sink holes caused by rotting tree roots. We wanted this repaired so we could continue to park our vehicles. They came out and assessed the job and gave us a bit that was more than our reserve account could handle at this time. They also gave us a temporary alternative that could last us up to 8 months or more. We optioned for this temporary fix and they came out today and laid the asphalt. The job looks great. They were fast and professional. We will use them again later to do the permanent fix.

I had several quotes on resurfacing my lot in Burien. Superior Asphalt was very responsive and provided many suggestions but was not overbearing. The price was competitive and slightly lower than other companies. When it came time to perform the job, they were on time, removed all the old asphalt, prepared the sub-surface/compacted and resurfaced properly. They took extra time using hand tools in areas where their large equipment could not reach. Curbing and striping was done properly with no mistakes. A family member who is a city engineer inspected the work and was very impressed to the attention to detail. I would recommend Superior Asphalt of Burien to anyone who needs either their driveway or lot resurfaced.
