James and company completed a large project on our historic house last year. James went above and beyond to address any concern we had and checked in with daily progress reports. James is an extremely hard worker and I would honestly trust him with my life.

Amazing work, results, and communication. James and Sam undertook a large project for a good price. When the city inspector came (requires two occasions), I was present, and was able to follow along with the work that was done and that it was done correctly. They were careful to cover up my items in the garage to protect them from dust. They offered to add insulation in my garage walls at no extra cost- now my garage is a lot warmer as well (nice bonus), and they had gone and retrieved all of the insulation. I regularly talked with James throughout and he always addressed any concerns or questions. For example, there were small gaps in the exterior walls in a few places, and he caulked those for me before boarding up the walls. When a few nails went through to the exterior, he took the time to get the color match and fully fix the problem. He provided me with all project documentation after it was completed, and filled out my Geico form for the insurance discount.

From my initial communication with James Ewing to the follow-up after completion, I was impressed by his professionalism and his thoughtful, thorough communication. He made sure I knew exactly what was happening every step of the way, providing all documentation, plans and final video. It was a pleasure working with James. I recommend that anyone considering seismic retrofit work call him first.

I just completed a Seismic retrofit project by Stronghome Seismic on 1950's single story home. I decided on hiring Stronghome primarily due to James (the owner) being extremely responsive in all my phone calls and emails. I am so impressed with him promptness, thorough response and very calm demeanour. To top it all, his bid was very competitive. Now that the project is completed, my expectation were exceeded. I get a daily update with picture updates as needed. This was especially comforting since I live out of state (my adult child lives in the house). When an issue arose, the estimate for the added work was extremely reasonable. I wish all contractors are as easy and pleasant to work with as Stronghome Seismic. In the end, I am glad that our house is seismically safer.

I hired James from Stronghome Seismic to earthquake retrofit our 2900 sq ft two-story house. James explained everything thoroughly, communicated progress in a timely manner, and did excellent work.
