STACEY RILEY INTERIORS
About us
Stacey Riley is a Seattle interior designer who believes the best collaborations grow from the relationship between client and one single designer, as opposed to multiple designers working on the same project. She handles all aspects of each interior design project and firmly believes your vision should be communicated to one person who can take your conceptual ideas and make them real. Stacey's dream of working one-on-one with clients is central to her design philosophy. Her range of talents include freehand sketching, space planning, custom window treatments & bedding, tile layout and specification for flooring materials, fabrics, furniture, fixtures, accessories and anything else you desire for your update or remodel project. Stacey has lived in and around Seattle her whole life. She received her BA in Interior Design from Seattle Pacific University in 1999 and has worked in the Interior Design field since that time. Stacey is an honest, creative and fun interior designer focused on providing clients both general assistance and specific guidance in your personal style, traditional or contemporary. Standard Hourly Rate is $110.00

"Thank you (Removed members personal information)! A simple 'Fantastic' is a wonderful word to hear. Thank you and let me know if I can help in the future. Take care, Stacey"
"Hello [Member Name Removed] I have looked over your one invoice (actually dated 1/11/14) for an Angie's List "Big Deal" coupon. I can't remember the exact details of the coupon, but I suspect it was the coupon that gave you two hours of my time for $169.00-this included the trip charge for me to drive to Federal Way from Seattle. It seems that you are accusing me of just "hanging around" for an extra hour (which I have never done). I leave when I feel the client's needs have been met. If you had a problem or questions regarding my billing, I would have been more than happy to discuss those with you at that time. Instead, you kept your feelings to yourself for over a year, and then are unhappy that I haven't apologized for something I did not know you felt I had done. It seems to me that getting good input, a professional designer and color concepts that you would never have considered for $169.00 is a pretty good deal. I am sorry to hear you were dissatisfied. Stacey Riley"
She has a great color sense - she got me to paint my bathroom a color I never would have chosen ? and I totally love it!
She gave me some good color, appliance and counter-top ideas for my kitchen, and brought in lots of samples for me to test.
I definitely got my money's worth.
Most memorable, was that she renamed my downstairs apartment. I'd created it by locking one door, thus instantly making the original rec room into a living room complete with fireplace. The rest of the space already had a kitchen, bedroom and bath. I've been renting it for years as a mother-in-law apartment. Stacey said, "Fine. Call it a mother-in-law for rental purposes, but when you go to sell it, call it a Teen Retreat! This is a family size house and if the family has teens, both parents and teens are going to want a place for the latter to retreat, hang out with friends, make noise, and the like." I'd never heard the phrase (then again, I never had kids), but now it will be in my future marketing materials for sure!
"Hi [member name removed]! Thank you so much for the kind review, I really appreciate it! I remember the Teen Retreat! I would love to work with you again in the future, and if you every need help-remind me to give you a little discount. Take care and thank you again, Stacey"
It went fine except that i purchased something without ever seeing it anywhere in real life first, and i do not recommend that.
"Hello (removed member name), thank you for the positive review regarding my personality-but I am sorry that your treatments didn't end up working out for you visually. We really tried to shove a lot of function AND style into those treatments and I am disappointed it didn't work out in the end. Good luck and I hope your replacement treatments are giving you what you need now. Stacey"
Stacey is always creative and clever in her ideas. Our house has gone from 'ok' to 'fabulous' and we've really enjoyed the process. The vendors she works with and recommends are A+ professionals, you cannot go wrong with them. The process has been so long because we were willing to wait for the 'right' piece to come to us, and have been pretty organic in our changes.
I highly recommend Stacey Riley Interiors!
"Hi [member name removed], Thank you so much for taking the time to review my services. I have very much enjoyed working with you both over the last few years. I would love to work with you again, of course, and please remind me to give you 30 minutes free if we do have the chance! Take care! Stacey"
"[Members Name], I am sorry that you felt my services were so inadequate. Even though my schedule is normally booked out about 1-2 weeks, I made the exception to accommodate you with an appointment in a shorter time frame. Due to your location in Woodinville, my location in West Seattle and my previously filled schedule, I arrived as soon as was possible given the short time frame (and as traffic allowed). I was unable to do much "designing" as most of what you requested was simply moving around items you already owned. Your comment about my being an "average designer" is unfounded. Please note that I went beyond my typical scope of work as many designers do not physically move or hang large items-we normally have someone on site to assist with these services. I was at your location as long as possible, but did have another appointment to get to that had been on my calendar for several weeks. I even arrived late to this client due to the time I devoted to your appointment. I am sorry you were not satisfied. Stacey"
"Thanks so much [removed member name]! I am glad everything worked out, and would love yo help you again in the future! Take care, Stacey"
I have recently recommended her to a friend.

Please let me know if there is anything I can do for you, and I will be happy to give you a free hour if you purchase one. Take care! Stacey"

"Thank you [member name removed]! It was great working with you, and I hope I get the chance to do it again! Let me know if I can help you in any way. Take care, Stacey"
Stacey was not pushy AT ALL, which was very important to me, she obviously knew her stuff, but she was nice and not at all snotty. After I paint, Stacey will come back and help me with the rest of my interior "design". I was concerned she would be intimidating, instead she was respectful of the colors I liked and was able to tactfully help me understand the flow idea.
"Thank you so much [member name removed]! It was a pleasure working with you, and you made it easy! I look forward to working with you again. Let me know when! Stacey"
"Thank you [member name removed], so much for the wonderful review. I am happy that you got what you wanted, in the end! A cozy, revamped space! It did take a bit of time to get everything figured correctly but I am happy that you are happy. Let me know if you ever need anything else! Take care, Stacey"
"Thank you [member name removed]! Your review is very sweet, and I am so happy that you were so happy with the results. It was a pleasure working with you, and would love to help you again! Take care, Stacey"
"Thank you (deleted member name) for the wonderful review. It was very fun working with you both and your lovely home. Please let me know if I can help you in any way in the future. What a thoughtful Valentines Day gift! Stacey"
"[member name removed], thank you for the great review and it was a pleasure working with you! Please let me know if I can assist you in any way in the future...especially since you have 30 minutes left! Take care, Stacey"
"Both you and (name removed) were so much fun to work with and I really enjoyed meeting you, and helping you make the right color decisions for your needs. I am always around if you need anything else! Take care, Stacey"
"Hello! Thank you so much for taking the time to review my services. It was great meeting you and I hope your colors turn out perfectly! But, of course if you have any questions or concerns, I am here to advise! Take care! Stacey"
Note to Angies List: I saved emails if you want to see them to substantiate what I have said in this review. I didn't do a review sooner because I don't like being negative and I couldn't think of anything good to say on this one. But since you keep asking me for a review, here it is. I just can't find anything good to say. In fact, I took out a lot of what I initially wrote.
"(member name removed), it is unfortunate that you would have so many negative things to say about me and my services. I must say that you seem to be unusually angry and your response seems very over-the-top. I am sorry that I was unable to meet your needs. I too have our email exchanges, and actually repeatedly (and clearly) ask for information and responses from you, which mostly go unanswered. You started the project with a $30,000 budget (given to me by YOU), but because of the downturn in the economy you needed to put a hold on the project. I am happy to work within ALL ranges of budgets and often do, and would have done so for you. I am happy to hear that you were able to problem solve the layout issues with your friends, but you were NOT clear that this was what you had finally decided you wanted. You were pleasant in your emails (as was I) until one day you decide you weren't happy and stopped communicating with me. Had you communicated your feelings in a constructive manner, I would have been happy to give you a refund. I am not an unreasonable person, but you make yourself sound like one in this review. You aren't representing the situation truthfully and this just sounds like sour grapes and nothing more."
"Thank you Member! It was nice to meet you both. You were fun and easy to work with! I hope your color selection worked well, and let me know if there is anything else you need! Stacey"
"Thank you for the very nice review Customer! You were a pleasure to work with! You knew what you wanted and made it easy to tackle and solve. And you have an absolutely adorable house. Good luck and let me know if I can help you in the future! Take care, Stacey"
I am very happy with the colors we chose, how well Stacey listened to my needs and likes!
She even liked my dogs!
"Thank you! I DID like your dogs! I am glad to hear that you were happy with my services, and look forward to helping you again anytime. Thank you for the review! Good luck with your painting! Stacey"
