SPIRIT GARDEN DESIGN

About six weeks after our first meeting, Lucinda returned with a first pass plan that exceeded our expectations. We had wanted two seating areas in the yard in addition to the patio we already have and she did that as well as expand the existing patio. There was a raised bed area for vegetables inside a trellis for climbing roses and a storage area. She also planned in a shade perennial garden, incorporating one of the seating areas. In addition, she included a planting plan with over two dozen new plants and transplanting some exiting plants. After mulling over this plan, we had a few changes, passed them along, and two weeks later, had the final plan. There is no way my wife and I could have come up with this and are now ready to begin implementing the plan. Lucinda was a pleasure to work with, listened to what we wanted and gave us something we can work with. When we are ready to deal with our much smaller front yard, we will call on her again.

Lucinda arrived promptly and walked the site with us.  She listened to our thoughts and ideas and then suggested some directions to explore and her initial responses to what we were trying to accomplish.  We agreed to her fee and she went away to create a design.
When she came back with the design it was clear she had listened.  She had created a design that not only met all our goals but did so in such a cool way that we were immediately sold.  The material suggestions and plant choices were great.  She clearly has a really great knowledge of plants and that meant she could make suggestions about what to keep and what were the problems in our existing yard.  She then incorporated what we kept seemlessly into the new design.
Also Lucinda is fun to work with.  She has a great personality that enlivened our meetings made the whole process enjoyable.  Great process and a great design.  We are really looking forward to the installation next!

Lucinda was wonderful. She really listened to us and heard what we were saying when we had our initial consultation and when she came back she brought us a design that was not quite right. Following that she encouraged us to really collaborate. We sat down with a couple of pencils and drew out some of the things that we both liked and she went away with our ideas and drew up a design that was just beautiful. I really like that Lucinda did not have her ego all attached with her designs. She wanted to make sure that it ended up being our garden. The end result is just beautiful and we can really look at it and feel that it is ours. Lucinda worked with us for over a year throughout the entire project. She does all of the design and she has a company who she works with and a business relationship with them that she manages.

I needed someone as a designer myself. I don't see in 3-D but I have a lot of good design concepts. She worked with me and took pieces of my design without getting her nose out of joint. She really listened to us. We hired 2 other garden designers that we were really unhappy with. So I have to say we've had a good experience with her.
