I chose Sphere Solar Energy after carefully comparing to other several large companies for the most competitive price, better inverter and warranty. And most of all, I wanted to support their non profit work in less fortunate communities in the world. Edwin said he grew up without electricity. I understand why he is so passionate about renewable solar energy and respect him for giving back and serving. Edwin and his crew did awesome jobs with clean and neat installation. Ron took extra time to finish all electrical works so nice. They are good people and go extra miles to make sure you are happy. I highly recommend Sphere Solar Energy to anyone who is planning to install solar systems. They are the best!

I'm trying to install 33 solar panels across two roof surfaces (11 on the main house, 22 on the detached garage). Got two bids one from Sphere Solar and another from a larger regional installer. The bids were actually comparable, however a few things pushed me to use Sphere Solar and team: 1. Sphere solar was able to commit to finishing the project by Sept 30th 2017, when the state sales tax exemption expires for solar projects. This saved me 10% right there. 2. Edwin the owner of Sphere solar was very knowledgable in the whole project - one would expect the larger installer know better, totally wrong! In the solar industry, all it matters for the consumer are the panels and inverters, since the warranty on them are provided by the manufacturer. The only difference between different installers are workmanship warranty which runs 10 years and the system is modularized enough that fixing it isn't hard even if your installer runs out of business. 3. Sphere solar came with a bid 10% lower than the other installer (due to tax savings) with a better inverter - we ended up with Enphase M250 micro-inverters instead of solar edge optimizers + line inverter offered by the other installer. This upgrade offered by Edwin is vital in the overall quality of the system for two things (a) micro-inverters are a little more efficient than line inverter so the output is higher (b) Line inverters have a life expectancy of 10 years however micro-inverters are backed by 25 year manufacturer's warranty so it will last as long as the panels. 4. The tipping point form me to choose Edwin came when he found out that I needed to run a new trench between the detached garage and the house instead of re-using a conduit I put in last year. The other bigger installer did not brought this up at all but vaguely mentioned to me that if they needed to run trench after their electrical team took a look I would need to provide the trench. Totally not cool! After some back and forth I felt being lied to by the sales people of the other installer who refused to even dig the trench even if I pay more for it, and Edwin offered to do the trench within the proposed bid! I truly liked the business which are willing to go the extra mile to keep the consumer happy and protected! 5. On top of all the great work he has done, Edwin brought up a problem with my existing conduit which happened to run too shallow to be up to code during the trench work. I was really grateful that this was found out so I was able to get it fixed properly. Overall, I'm a very happy customer and would definitely recommend Sphere Solar energy!

This company was just incredible to work with. Very glad I went with them. Pricing was very competitive and the communication and professionalism was top notch all around. Really enjoyed meeting the whole team!

Project went smoothly.

At our first visit Edwin laid out the options for solar systems that would work in our location, facing south west and on a golf course where tree removal is not an option. Since our local PUD had used up the Washington state incentives, we decided to go with solid black panels made in Oregon, where each panel is independent and has it's own inverter, thus if one of the trees shades one or two panels and lowers their output, the other panels will deliver the maximum electricity. We are extremely pleased with the work Edwin and his crew have done, as is the local electrical inspector and PUD! Sphere Solar Energy is the best and we highly recommend them. The approximate cost of service is $1,000 per panel. We chose the maximum number for our home and use.

The Sphere Solar Energy team was very professional and helpful throughout the whole process. We chose the Washington made panels (ITEK) and inverter (Solectria) to maximize our incentives. They gave us multiple options to choose from before we settled on the final system and layout. The installation only took a few days and I could not be happier with how it turned out. I was initially a little worried about the appearance of the panels but they look great and several people have also commented about how good they look. The alignment and mounting of the panels, wiring, and electrical connections are very neat and "clean" looking. The inspection passed without issue and I am now feeding the grid. I highly recommend solar and Sphere Solar Energy for your install.

Edwin and the team were great throughout the entire process -- from educating me and my wife about the various options and costs associated with solar, working collaboratively on a design that made sense for our home, and most recently to installing the system and coordinating the utility interconnection, I've been impressed with the transparent communication, attention to detail, and overall management of the project. Aside from delivering an awesome end result (our 16 panels look great, very professional installation), I'd also add that Edwin and the team did a great job keeping the work area clean and tidy, communicating very well and following through on commitments, and were great with my kids (including working quietly during nap times!). I'd recommend Sphere Solar without hesitation!
