Sound View Window & Door installed a new window in our upstairs bedroom and sliding door for our master bedroom and we couldn’t be happier with the results. The process from beginning to end was handled in a prompt and professional manner. There was no hard-sell by the initial salesperson (which we have seen from other window companies) and they were happy to draw up a quote to have the install broken up into different stages (first the window, then the sliding door). The installers were hard-working, polite and careful around the house. The fit and finish of the window and door was perfect and ultimately, we really felt that we got good value for the services and product they provided. Would definitely use them again and highly recommend them for anyone looking for replacement windows and doors.

Excellent job, very professional, and accurate measurements. Good instruction on "after care" to keep it in great shape. about a year after install, where door's window glass and the door itself separated (was a manufacturer's defect), they replaced it with no hassle at no charge and reported to the mftr, who had been getting other complaints. No problems since. So there not just for the sale. Appreciate great post-sale service. 

Great company, great service.  The company offered many options for windows and we asked for two different estimates before deciding.  The contractors did an excellent job with their craftsmanship, were very friendly, and got the work done in the time estimated.  We've had the new windows for about a month now, and love that we no longer have a draft coming into our bedroom.  We would use them again for the rest of the windows in our house.

When installing the aluminum windows on the first floor the installers found some rotted wood in the old frames. They cleaned it up, patched where they could and replaced some pieces of the old frames Several of the old basement windows were very, very difficult to get out. It was almost like they had been cemented into the cinder block foundation. The lead installer had many years experience and was able with a lot of sawing to extract the old windows. Each day they cleaned up before they left for the night. We're very happy with the windows. They missed some caulking on the outside of the basement windows and we did have a leak. But as soon as I called their office the supervisor came out and re-caulked all of the basement windows.
I gave them a B on price because they are on the high side with labor costs. But they do have a very strong labor guarantee.

Sound View Windows and Doors has a wide selection of both windows and doors and has helpful staff who will work with you to find a good choice for your particular requirements. We needed 3 windows for our kitchen remodel, and with the help of Jason Kath at Sound View, we chose Andersen windows. We had originally planned on casement windows, since those were what we were replacing. However we found some sideways sliding windows that worked much better for us. Jason explained the different material choices and construction options to us clearly. The kitchen remodel carpenter installed the windows and he said the windows were very well made and superior to other brands that he had worked with. Sound View ordered the windows promptly and delivered them on schedule. If we need windows again, we will certainly go to Sound View.

We could not have done better than choosing Sound View Window and Door in Seattle. Removal of the old and installation of the new windows was done in 1.1/2 working days by very polite and helpful professionals; the different homeowners are very happy about the workmanship and also appreciated the care that was taken to protect the floors and surrounding areas of the job sites as well as the excellent clean-up after the work was finished.
We will definitely contact Sound View again for any further work we might need and can only recommend this company as one of the best our little community worked with over the last decade.

Had four windows and one glass patio door replaced. Pricing was competitive. Randy, the sales rep, was very low key and provided us with complete information about the products and installation process. He's a professional who clearly knows his products and industry well. Installers were great - they also provided additional helpful information beyond just installing the windows. They also finished the installation of three windows that were not fully completed by the previous owners. I don't think this is a service they typically provide, but the windows look great and they are framed the same as the new replacement windows to give the windows a consistent look. Install was scheduled for two days, but took three. Would definitely recommend to others and use again.

I never write online reviews, but these folks were so great, I have to provide my feedback. From Randy, the sales guy - who was friendly, personable, resourceful, and knowledgeable - to Rob, the project lead for the installation - who was also really helpful, professional, friendly and super knowledgable - the entire Sound View team was superb to work with. This is a huge project for a home owner, and they made every step easy. They communicated with me in a completely timely manner, always arrived as scheduled, and did the project in 3 days as scheduled (total 13 windows replaced, including 2 large custom windows that reproduced the mullions design in the top of the windows). I really enjoyed working with this company, and will rave about them to everyone. The windows I selected are Anderson E-series double-hung aluminum clad exterior with wood interior. So far, they appear to be a great product - and I appreciate the help Randy and the folks at the showroom gave me as I considered my options and made my selection.

We are very happy with all aspects of the service we received from Sound View Window and Door. Everyone we dealt with at this company was courteous, knowledgeable and professional. Our house was built in the mid 1940's, and the french doors leading out to the deck were warped and badly in need of replacement. We love the look of french doors and wanted something with the same look that was more energy efficient than our current single-paned doors. Anderson Windows made the french doors we liked best, and we wanted to replace our front door and basement door at the same time. We contacted Sound View Window and Door, and were provided detailed estimates for 3 different options. All charges were clearly explained and there were no surprises. The project was completed on time, and we are extremely happy with the results. We would not hesitate to work with this company again.

On the window replacement and two sliding doors, it went excellent. They did a great job and the two individuals in charge or our project were responsive and pleasant. They did a majority of the work while I was out of the house. I did spend the last day at the house and was glad I did so I could add last minute input into the installation of the knee wall and trim in that one space.On the kitchen knee wall we didn't want to cut back the granite or risk damaging it so they were careful and floated the wall approximately 1/4 inch above the granite. They were clear in their disclosure/liability release and polite regarding the modifications we requested to the them.During the walk through we spotted a few issues (one interior scratch, a bend to the plastic, and one window missing some safety tabs) which I guess the window Manufacturer needs to fix. We are still waiting for Milgard to contact us but the service manager let me know they have been notified.The install of the interior trim was a bit confusing. Ultimately they had to redo it three times, but never once complained and were very polite regarding my wishes. The first trim that went on was significantly thicker than the original which affected our blinds but we liked the look. We requested changes to two window trims and were very specific as to what we wanted. Unfortunately they tried to be helpful and didn't call me first and changed a few extra window trims. The next day though when I requested they changed those windows back to how they were originally they were disappointed but utterly willing to do so. They had someone drive some additional trim over and fixed it back. It looks great and we are very excited about it.
Overall it went well. Todd, who gave us the bid was very pleasant. We received the bid and waited 5 months before acting on it. He was careful not to pressure us and made modifications promptly when requested. He also checked back with us during the job. Dan the guy who did the critical measure was very pleasant and had some excellent ideas. It seemed as though his notes were a bit incomplete though. When the guys showed up to do our work they were unaware of a few of the items Dan and I had discussed. They quickly remedied that however and called him to verify. I would say however that there was a slight warp in the communication as I had Todd, Dan (critical measure), Dan (install Manager), and then the two guys on site (Andy and Jeremy - sorry if I forgot your names!) to communicate with.
Overall I would use them again.

Sound View provided us with a variety of windows to choose from, but Jason helped us narrow it down for us based on the type of house, what we wanted out of it, and price. He never tried to sell us something we didn't want or try to push us into purchasing a more expensive product. It didn't take us long to choose the window we needed, as we just needed something simple yet solid, and something that matched the style of home we had. Dan coordinated the project after the windows were ordered and was very responsive with questions we had regarding their arrival time. The windows arrived on time for the installation in early September. They are beautiful and the installation went flawless. We will definatley look at Sound View for future window and door needs.

Sound View is an excellent company and we had a great experience with them. They were the only ones to give me a detailed estimate including the cost of each window and the installation charge. The others just gave me a large dollar estimate.When Jim came out to look at my windows he was very knowledgeable about the product and what type of windows I already had. He suggested ways to keep the cost down which I appreciated very much. The windows were ordered right away and installation began promptly when the windows were ready.The installation went smoothly. The two guys who installed were courteous and knew what they were doing. They cleaned up as they went. They took great care to protect my house and belongings. When rot was found from a old leaking window, the installer was able to fix it then and there (for time and materials) and the repairs were excellent.The company is one with integrity and everyone was very helpful. I will be using them in the future to replace my front door.

When we realized that our doors had rotted and we had a mess in our bonus room, we started the arduous task of calling companies and contractors. After calling 5 different companies and contractors, we only had one company who felt they could handle our job. When we called Sound View, Todd Brown came out to give us an estimate. He was knowledgeable, competent and confident discussing what we needed to do in terms of the doors and repair work to our sub-floor. We chose to go with fiberglass doors and composite jambs to prevent rotting in the future . Sound View's pricing was competitive and they were so professional, we decided to go with them. Within a couple of days of signing the contract, Dan Young, our project manager, came out to take measurements. He was not only a pleasure to work with, but he made sure that we understood everything before our job began. This included informing us of any potential costs that might arise during the job. The installation only took one day. Dan and his assistant arrived, worked hard installing our doors and repairing our sub-floor, and left everything in perfect order. They even vacuumed the sawdust (from cutting the floor boards) off my driveway! We are so pleased with the job and would definitely use Sound View in the future.

Excellent. They were always quick to respond by phone during the initial estimating process. There estimate was competitive (a little cheaper) than Renewal by Anderson for the same job. Windows took about 6 weeks to come in. For the install, they arrived on time, were curteous and did an nice job with the installation of the windows. They had to rebuild one window frame that rotted and it looks very clean and matches the other window frames well. Nice job insulating around the windows too. They cleaned everything up well - no trace that they were here. They even removed some old bars on our basement windows and took those away.
