SOUND HARDWOOD FLOORS

I should have checked Yelp and Angie's but due to a communication issue we trusted "Next Door" input without completely checking this company out. The good: Communication, maintaining the schedule, personality and cost. The Bad: Quality of the outcome.of the work. Left sanding marks in the wood, left hairs in the finish, left puddles of finish in the wood, left dry spots or areas where there was no finish on the wood. He's response when I questioned the quality of work? It meets the Standards for Hardwood Finishing. Really? His solution of repairing was a thin coat. What? It's full of hairs and sanding marks. The process is sand, then sand with a 400 grit to knock down any noticeable spots, clean, coat, sand with 400 and the buff out. He totally left the sand and buff out process, but I guess as a professional leaving out the last 2 key processes is your choice, but as a home owner it's not mine. He's a nice guy and I guess meets the minimum requirement for standards, so if you want a minimum requirement over a quality job then pick him.

First he removed and disposed of the carpet, underlament and the tack strip. Then, he prepped the floors to refinish. He also repaired where a wall was and feathered in where the wall was, then sand filled and refinished the floors. He is very good.

ABSOLUTELY LOVE MY NEW HARDWOOD FLOOR. THEY WERE VERY QUICK WITH THE WORK AND DID A DECENT JOB. RICHARD CAME RIGHT OUT TO FIX THE FEW AREAS THAT DIDN'T GET FINISHED PERFECTLY AND TOOK CARE OF IT. THERE WAS FAR LESS DUST THAN I HAD THOUGHT AND BEEN TOLD BY FRIENDS THERE WOULD BE. VERY HAPPY WITH THE RESULTS.
